A Very Special Marble | 184/200 words
As Andrew grows a little older and enters high school he begins to miss his friends from the small town he used to live in. There was so many old faces he wished to see as he walks down the road to get to the new arcade that was just built in the strip mall. Memories come flooding back as he takes a moment to stop and examine a large marble that resides in his pouch. It has many swirls of colors that are starting to fade now. The orange and yellow was still prominent but the red was getting muddled.

It was a gift from his close friend Jupiter. He thinks back on how Jupiter won it at their old arcade back home because it had swirls like Andrews fur. Andrew gave his beloved hacky-sack to Jupiter before they moved away from one another. This marble keeps him very much linked with his beloved friend. As the memory lingers, tears threaten to prick the corners of his eyes but a small smile echoes behind it. He can't wait to see Jupiter this fall.
