Blair was having a bad day, as she sometimes would, see she dealt depression and while she normally had it under control it had been kicking her butt for the last few days. Her work and schooling had been stressing her out and put her down into the dumps, on her way back from school she usually took the train. As usual, she got on and stood off to an open area and watched the world go by out the window trying to force herself out of the pit she had seemingly crawled into. Her stop came, and she went to get off with the others when she heard a voice from behind her when she turned she saw a white kalon standing there, a small bouquet of flowers in hand. "I don't mean to seem weird, or anything, but I noticed you looked kinda down...I got these for my boyfriend but...you seem like you could use 'em more" he held the flowers out to her and smiled a bit. She looked at him and then the flowers they were a small bunch of pink tulips which happened to be her favorite. She brightly smiled taking them "thank you so much" she said happily to the stranger who nodded and walked off, she walked off the train and went home the exchange going in her head. This stranger didn't have to give her these but did so out of kindness, an effort to make someone's day a little brighter, she loved that and it gave her an idea. Instead of going straight home to mope alone she stopped at a plant nursery and bought some seeds, pots, and soil, she already had a very small garden at home but now she needed more.

That was months ago now, now she maintains a large flower garden which she trims some of the flowers and makes small bouquets to take out with her giving them to people who look like they could use something to brighten their day. She also transplants some flowers into new pots and takes them to places like hospitals, hospices, and nursing homes to help brighten the rooms and cheer up the people in them. She still has bad days but the happiness that radiates from people who she gives these flowers to is enough to cheer her up and motivates her to continue and grow her garden.

prompt; Flora awoke to the familiar sound of crunching gravel outside her cottage. No one came out to this part of the mountain unless they had taken it upon themselves to not be returning home. The cliffside besides Floras cottage was often considered a popular spot for things of the nature, but the success rate had certainly plummeted since she had moved in. Whisking the embroidered blanket from her bed, she tiptoed towards her window, and watched a distressed kalon shut her car door with an echoing bang! The routine was usual, and wasn’t an uncommon occurence, especially around this time at night. In a very nonchalant manner, Flora had slipped out from the front door, embroidery in paw, and walked calmly towards the kalon. . Too occupied wiping her tears away with the palm of her paw, the stranger did not realize Floras presence until there was a blanket wrapped around her shoulders. Wide eyed, the kalon gaped at Flora, unable to concoct a sentence until she finally asked: “I didn’t know the cottage was occupied; w-who are you?” “I’m your guardian angel,” Flora winked, a twinkle in her violet eyes that made the corners of the strangers mouth begin to slightly curl up, despite the tears that were still actively flooding down her face. “Come now, it’s awfully cold. You must be freezing!” And confident in the fact that Flora was truly an angel, the stranger allowed Flora to whisk her away into the warm sanctuary of her cottage.

The tranquil atmosphere of Floras cottage could almost be considered ethereal. Potted succulents sat on evey window sill, and two open French windows revealed a wooden gazebo outside, adorned with a variety of plants and flowers. A crackling hearth assisted in the overall coziness of the house, eradicating any shadows and bringing natural light. The stranger sat besides the very hearth, bundled in the blanket and sipping warm cider from a mug with an illustration of a tulip upon its front. After a few minutes of conversation, the two exchanged names, and Flora discovered the strangers name was Sasha. “My partner broke off our engagement a few days ago...” Her fingers traced an indent in her skin circling her ring finger, where there had surely once been something, an expression of nostalgic melancholy now highlighting her frown lines that Flora hadn’t been aware of whilst she was smiling. Flora touched her paw to Sasha’s in a comforting manner, “Well I’m sure he didn’t deserve you. As they say, there are always more fish in the sea.” At that, Sasha’s face seemed to scrunch up in disdain. “You don’t know that...” Flora patted Sasha’s hand with a smile, “Fate always find its way.” Sasha seemed relived.

Warmth filled Flora as Sasha wrapped her arms around her. “I’ll never be able to repay for all you have done for me tonight!” Flora gave her one last squeeze around the shoulders before handing Sasha a small pot of flowers. “They’re Plumerias from my garden. One of the things they represent is new beginnings. I gave them to you as a reminder that your story isn’t over, it’s just beginning.” Sasha took the pot into her hands delicately, a large smile fixated on her face. “I would say I’ll see you later, but I don’t think I’ll never need to return here...” As she spoke, she stepped into her car, kickstarting the engine. “And for that, I am eternally thankful.” Gravel flew up as her car drove away, and just like that, a days work was done

Fleur had pleaded, she had protested, she had even promised to do much more ridiculous things if she could get away with not doing this one and yet here she was, standing outside her mother's flower shop, roses lined up neatly in rows, bundles and bunches arranged around her.

Valentine's day. Oh how she despised it, too many people were spending too much money on things they didn't need so they could "express their love." Pfft, whatever. Picking up one of the roses, she spun it gently between her fingers, watching the petals sway briefly as they sat in wait, she'd be stuck here most of the day if her mother was in charge, which, in a sense, she was, but Fleur was also her own person with things to do... Such as watching TV and binging on ice cream, she had prior arrangements that couldn't be rescheduled.

What a pity...

Listening to the footsteps of people around her, she zoned in on a pair that had slowed and paused. Here we go and a one, two, three, just like she's practised.

"Hello! Would you like to buy a rose? The profits raised will be going to charity. It's also a..-" She had started, slowly rising from her seat, placing the rose off to one side as she gently lifted her head, eyes being met with gold, long hair cascaded over their shoulders, rose coloured glasses sitting across the bridge of their nose. "a..- a..- cu...-cute!"

Fleur flustered, face changing to match the colour flowers around her. The stranger chuckled gently and walked over, nodding their head as they placed down a coin. Fleur slowly moved to pick up one of the many roses around her, handing it over gently, watching as the stranger had pulled it up to their face, the flower itself hiding the smile on the others face.

"Thank you." "Ah... Yes. Thanks. You. Thanking you... Thank you too.." She muttered, her own brain buffering as she took a minute to catch up. Delicately the stranger moved the flower to their hair, a bright pop of red settled just over their ear before turning and walking off... Fleur watched them leave only letting her eyes pull away after hearing the soft light-hearted giggle from her mother.

"Took you long enough." "What?" "They've been trying to get your attention for months now..."
