In the apocalypse, everyone wondered how food could be made. Adikuto turned to making candy even as the son of a convicted zombie . He sells the sweet treat for a small price out in the wasteland, smiling and showing off his pearly whites to these who buy his candies, but those who ask questions, they get to visit Adikuto's one-kal candy factory. Where any of them go after that is confidential.

Adikuto doesn't have to pretend to like candy, he always has liked candy from the first day he was put on the earth. He'd bite the flesh of his mother and little brothers and say how they tasted like candy! Such a funny little kit he was! After the apocalypse, Adikuto only seemed to love candy more! Sure none of his family was around to see him succeed, but he was okay with that, as long as he was making candies he loved to eat, and shared that love of candy with the world!

Prompt -- Mochi’s fur wasn’t always the color it appears to be today. Once a beautiful swirl of ‘exotic’ colors, his coat was a refreshing view in the town where everyone, and everything, is a blank. But for what this city lacked in coloration, they compensated with hospitality and generosity. Despite this, tourists were uncommon, so when one was discovered, it was a citizens duty to make them feel as welcome as possible, so as to possibly attract more attention to the tiny town. This was especially important to Mochi, him being the guest services supervisor, and rather extroverted. Now you may ask, how does this tie into candy? To answer, it all started with one kalon no more familiar to Mochi as to you or I.

“What brings a foreigner like yourself to Lerwick?”, Mochi piped up to the silent entity besides him, his tail flicking here and there with unrequited curiousity. When no answer was recited, the kalon shuffled his paws in a near nervous manner. Had he been too straightforward with a stranger? Perhaps he’ll never come back once he leaves.. The irrelevant worries his mind had begun to spout out were quietly interrupted when the stranger spoke: “I come looking to scout out opportunities for business. I find tiny towns, like your Lerwick, to be the best for these sorts of investments...” Unable to stop the disappointment ebbing out that he had wrongly assumed the tourist may be here for something more interesting than that, he shuffled his paws yet again, a habit hard to shake. WIP

Vanilla loves candy and has a giant sweet tooth. Basically, all he eats is either sugar or candy! Vanilla is a cheery, energetic, and outgoing kalon. He is always running around and stays up all night. He used to be very bland in personality and color, he was a dull kalon. But, after candy perked his interest, he's become the happiest on the planet! In all that neck floof, he likes hiding little candies just incase he feels tired, which he never is. Vanilla's favorite candy are sour patch kids. He loves all candies, but he likes sour candies a bit more. Sour patch kids are in the middle of sour and sweet, and he loves both!

𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓂𝓅𝓉 -- remember those stupid little things that were on the 'cool kid black market' back in elementary? maybe they were silly bandz, or those weird scented pencils you were to afraid too buy at lunch. well, in yuki's schools, the hot item was salt water taffy, made in bulk at the amano candy corner--her family's local candy shop! as a kit, she was allowed to bring in the 'misfits' from batches. it was supposed to be a one-time thing to bring in business, but it became a daily giveaway. kits tried to befriend her so they'd get first pick on flavors. this included lime, bubblegum, cherry, strawberry, watermelon, and cookies 'n cream. the most popular, however, was 'yuki' taffy: a blue-grey lavender-flavored base, with thin lines of lemon, strawberry, lime, grape, and a standard white all stacked and rolled into one delicious, yuki-colored treat.
she even made enough money from second grade to freshman year that her mother retired and she took over. things looked positive, until the hot cheeto girl stole her spotlight.

she does not blame herself or candy for drops in schoolyard sales. in fact, there's a sense of pride (and nostalgia) she has whenever she sees candy.
