Cat Name: Crescentfur
Gender: tom
Age: 28 moons
Clan: waveclan
Rank: warrior
Song: Blame :: Air Traffic Controller

Why?:
Altogether, the song represents Crescentfur-
managing to find himself after losing what he felt was him. He was sure that he would stay in one place all his life, then it completely flickered out.
Basically, it represents him looking for something new and searching inside himself for something he lost.

There goes my luck
There goes my pride
There goes everything that I’ve been working for all of my life
This represents the way that he was taken into a twoleg nest after being a rogue, but the twoleg adult isn't keen on it. He worked really hard to try and make her like him, but then the brother comes home from boarding school and is allergic to cats, so just as the mother is starting to accept him, he gets pushed out again.
There goes that dream
And so it seems
There goes the days and nights awakened fighting thoughts of losing
He's always dreamt of having a happy life inside a warm comfortable twoleg nest, like he did as a kit, then it gets pulled away from him. He sinks inside madness and depression and is fighting off the mental illnesses.
Maybe everything I learned before today was just a waste
What if everywhere I felt that I belonged was not my place
And it worked
He thinks that maybe all the time he spent trying to get twolegs to like him was just useless and just as he was feeling he fit into their family, he got kicked out.
Don’t blame yourself
‘Cause you tried as hard as hell
With the hand that you were dealt
He makes a friend who tries to cheer him up, telling him it wasn't his fault. Telling him he tried as hard as he could to get the twolegs to like him, but the one brother had a "card" that beat all his.
Don’t blame
Get on your feet, enough poor me
If you got time to *censored* and whine, well there’s still time to try again
The friend starts training him up, using skills they learnt as a Clan cat [they got exiled for crimes they were innocent of doing], and teaches him to cope in the wild.
This time you’re free
I know it’s hard to believe
After them days and nights awakened, feeling lost, you’re losing it
He joins a Clan with his friend and thinks he is finally happy there. After all that time he was being driven crazy out of sorrow and feeling he was terrible, he is finally free in the forest.
But if everything you learned before today was just a waste
Think of everyone you met along the way and all you’ve faced
Boy, you’ve won
Yeah
His friend becomes his official mentor and starts showing him everything he can learn now. He becomes a warrior and feels proud and happy. He's finally made it! Right?
So don’t blame yourself
‘Cause you tried as hard as hell
With the hand that you were dealt
Wrong. His friend dies, and he gets the blame. He is horrified and innocent, but the true murderer is very tricky and lays the blame perfectly on Crescentfur.
Don’t blame
Now the road laid out before me is in flames
And the bridges that I’ve crossed have collapsed
And the vultures they are circling overhead
They’re reminding me of choices from my past
He knows it wasn't him but no-one else does and he gets exiled from the Clan. The road he thought was his is broken and he doesn't know which turn to take. His friend visits him from StarClan, but the connection is weak, and collapses. He wanders the streets lost and alone, eating whatever he can find, even crowfood.
Don’t blame yourself
‘Cause you tried as hard as hell
With the hand that you were dealt
His friend visits him again, and the connection is stronger. He helps him get over his misery and dejection.
Don’t blame yourself
‘Cause you tried as hard as hell
With the hand that you were dealt
His friend shows him the path to a new Clan, CoveClan, where he gets accepted into the Clan and is finally at home.
Don’t blame
Don’t blame
Oh, you tried as hard as hell
With the hand that you were dealt
Don’t blame
Don’t blame
Yeah, you tried as hard as hell
With the hand that you were dealt
Although at times he still sinks into Misery, he is finally happy. He makes new friends and manages to be full of himself. Unfortunately, he will never be happy, will he? His dreams are trashed again as another cat wins the Deputy position.
Don’t blame
Don’t blame
Don’t blame
Don’t blame
Don’t blame
His friend visits him and brings his family along to. It turns out the friend is his half-sister and his family teaches him that it wasn't the new deputy's fault he didn't get picked and that he'd have another chance.
There goes my luck
He's mostly happy, but he can't help but remember his sad history.
