Finally -- the purpose of this competiton was NOT to restrict the character or force the competitor to build the character around the parents. I really just want to know the basic answer of "do they get along with their parents, do they send letters if they live far away, do they refuse to speak with them, etc etc" -- answer this however you want at all and do not stress too much about their story versus the parents. They are their own individual (: This means they do not have to live on Eterna at all whatsoever. I work with AUs quite a lot, so it's entirely fine if you prefer to keep your character in a different world. Eterna has many loopholes to link otherworldly characters, so it's of no huge concern. If you get the parents wrong, it's no big deal; I'm more interested in the child's character. I also do not care at all what type of relationship they have -- it will be your character, do what you may with them!

They like their mother too, even though they spend most of their time with Eizen, and they seem to have a fairly good relationship with her, as well. They aren't very much of a troublemaker—really they are the opposite, reserved and calm and almost never overexcited about something—so Velvet doesn't have much to worry about.
