Spells wrote:"Love Potion No. 11
An upgrade to the wildly popular Love Potion No. 9,
this potion features additional ingredients such as a
pinch of fairy dust, a pink rose's petals picked
while thinking of your heart's desire, and a lock of
hair from the two of you. All of this must be stirred
up and brewed on the eve of your meeting this
individual.
The resulting potion is a very sweet-smelling perfume
that one can dab on oneself to attract the attentions
of your heart's desire.
Results may vary.
Simple Levitation
The most useful spells are the most common,
and no one knows this better quite like the Prince does.
Being actual royalty, one is almost always multitasking,
and one needs to lessen the load somewhere. Prince
Edrick would use this spell to carry things he wouldn't want
to, organize his books, and lift his cape while he walks.
He would also use this to make sure a certain breeze
sweeps the smell of sweet perfume into the right
face....
The most basic of mage students are required to
learn this, as finals in magic school are tedious and
multitasking is a necessity.
Glitter in a Wand
Prince Edrick is flashy, and he would want to make a grand
entrance. While it would be easy enough to stuff
glitter in his pocket and throw it out to announce
his arrival, it would be even flashier to say an
impresive magic spell. It's a shame that to say this
spell, one must chant the following words;
"respice stultus", which, supposedly, are the
latin words for 'look awesome'. Prince isn't sure if
he believes it or not, but it gets the trick done.
One of the first spells he had to learn, Prince's
teacher was fed up with his idiotic requests and
gave him nonsense to babble; much to his surprise,
it worked.
Familiarity Spell
One creature fits all, at least, that's what it
says on the tin. Prince Hedrick spends most of his nights alone, but
having a familiar can make those nights less lonely. His familiar of
choice is a black cat, of course. However, he would never quite
summon it right, so it lived perpetually as a goopy creature.
Cats -- man's best friend, or man's secret overlords?
The Hypnomancer's Choice"
Mind control is a highly illegal and frowned upon
magic, but that certainly wouldn't stop the
overzealous Prince from trying. He has big dreams
to rule the world with a special queen by his side,
and any good tyrannical Emperor needs an army.
If he can't get one by his good looks alone, then
magical force would be a second choice that he would
make.
Hypnomancy is often frowned upon in the world of
magic, due to it's simple nature that any Muggle with
a stopwatch and a psychiatry couch can do. However,
the most vocal individuals are often the first to change
their minds, with a glint in their dead-eyed stares.
Wrath of Eros
It is said most magical duels stem from a conflict
in lovers.
A spoiled individual, Prince Edrick would not take kindly
to another sharing the same love interest in himself.
He would take to his books, learning the spells made
from lovers scorned, and take a page right out of it
with this horrific spell. At the risk of tainting one's
own heart forever, one can cast this spell to remove
the love out of any of your romantic rival's hearts,
forever.
It is said that the original creator of this spell
regrets it's creation, even to this day. After casting it,
he himself could not feel any emotion; just regret,
for causing so much pain to what he would find out
was his best friend.

Bio
Prince Edrick was born into a life of nobility and comfort. While he didn't know his mother, his father was a stoic figure that would serve to guide him and provide something to look up to, for all of Prince's life. The Prince was never quite fond of his full name, however, much to his dismay, his childhood friend insisted upon using it for all of time. Even now, she still insists on using it. However, the Prince would never dream of telling her no; what future Empress wanted, she got.
His father worked full time supporting the current Empress, which left Prince Empress in an empty castle to do as he pleased most of the time. For much of his younger life, he was a tyrant, demanding idiotic or sometimes downright impossible tasks for his servants to do. However, as he matured, he grew less social and withdrew to his bedroom, sticking to the books he read for comfort and guidance.
Prince Edrick has a love for magic books; he read the entirety of the Harry Potter Series, cover to cover, no less than five times. Resulting Halloweens would have him dressing as a full blown wizard, wearing the capes and waving a wand. Eventually, he found his hands on a magic book, one that he spent hours poring over. While the spells inside weren't exactly real, it didn't stop Edrick from developing an immense fantasy world inside his head, one where he was a budding wizard that would, one day, become the most powerful wizard in all the land.
While he was off having his fun in magic-land, his long-time best friend and love interest, the Future Empress, had found someone else that she wished to be with for the rest of her days. A common peasant. Prince Edrick was crushed. He withdrew completely into his own magical studies, intent on finding something that someday would bring the Future Empress back into his waiting arms.
Personality

The young Prince was always an eccentric, sensitive soul. He had a thousand ideas, all of them deeply complex and rich in his mind, and he could paint you a picture of those dreams with vivid words. However, not many understood the young Prince and his intentions. Some would say he was an egotistical megalomaniac, while his best friend might say he was just a bit quirky and a daydreamer. Whatever the case, most people had complex feelings that matched the Prince's own complex personality!
Sensitive, the Prince is an emotional character whose feelings get hurt quite easily, and when he does, he is quick to react and react harshly. Words that are spoken in just the wrong way, or even said in the wrong phrasing, can send Prince Edrick in an emotional tailspin, and there is nothing you can do to prevent the resulting tantrum. One can only let him ride it out, until he comes crawling back to you for more validation.
That being said, the Prince almost definitely has potential for good. Deep down, he's a sad, hopeless romantic who could really do with some company and love.
The Future Empress
Prince Edrick grew up around the Future Empress for most of his life, and the two of them spent most of their childhood together. They were inseparable. Prince Edrick would play the Knight to his Queen almost constantly, and the two of them were happy together. Prince Edrick knew even as a child that he would grow up to become her King.
Things don't always go the way we plan as children, though. Upon coming of age, The Future Empress announced her plans to be engaged to a peasant boy, hoping to bring peace from the Empire to the common folk after a long history of violence of the Empire against it's people. Prince Edrick did not see things that way, he only saw and felt the sting of rejection burning against his cheeks.

On that day, he swore that peasant as his enemy, and did not speak to his best friend anymore.
