What do they think of flowers/what do flowers mean to them? Cosmo loves flowers. Their favorite is dandelions, despite many people calling them weeds. Cosmo would often play outside with her siblings, their front yard dappled with the bright yellow flowers.
They would pick them, put them in each other's hair, and collect a few to hand to their parents. While they don't quite play as often as they used to now, the memories remain, and bring a smile to Cosmo's muzzle whenever she sees the flowers. She also has a fondness of baby's breath, especially in bouquets with roses or orchids.

They studied what they meant in bouquets, and was given a pet bird for her birthday, who always sat on her shoulder and watched her study the flowers. What do they think of flowers/what do flowers mean to them? she finds that sometimes the most beautiful flowers typically have thorns or poison while the less extraordinary the outside, the sweeter the smell. this is a good rule to remember about people, as well. roses and wisteria and gorgeous and smell intoxicatingly sweet, roses have throns and wisteria strangles. honeysuckle, on the other hand, may not be the flashiest but their smell is ten times as sweet as a rose.

celeste was brought up in a middle class family. she went/goes to public school, and lives in an apartment building in LA. as she got older, celeste grew more and more interested in gardening. as a young child she had often watched the city below her from her bedroom window, through which she could see small parks all over the city. she was always intrigued by the colourful flowers and bushes. now, as a young tween, celeste spends her free time planting flowers either with her siblings or friends, or making community gardens around LA. She likes gardening with her older brother foggy, as he's pretty quiet and doesn't make any trouble. she doesn't enjoy gardening with her younger brother, howie, because he has way too much energy in her opinion, and can't sit still. she does enjoy gardening with her moms, and since Los Angeles is a very urban city, with not a lot of green space in some areas, celeste started a small group with some of her friends to create nice flower gardens or vegetable gardens in areas that need a little love. it's run by her mother, jacinth. the group often makes their gardens in the "sketchier" or less wealthy parts of town, and celeste likes to think of it as a new beginning for those living there. when they plant vegetable gardens, it provides the community with a source for fresh food, at a cheaper cost, and just by planting gardens there in general, it gives kids and even adults the opportunity to learn more about the environment and how to help it. as well as planting gardens, her and few other members of the group go back to those places to teach the residents how to care for the garden and all the necessities. to celeste, flowers mean a fresh start, a new beginning. for her, for the group, for anyone impacted even in the slightest by the flowers. some flowers are sturdy, some flowers are weak. but together, they're strong and they make a beautiful and welcoming space for everyone nearby.
