---This species has terrible eye-sight as it is, and they are only around at night, making everything harder to make out. But Rak'esh is blind. Not even with her lantern can she make out her surroundings. Except on the night of a full moon. For some unknown reason, the full moon seems to smile upon her and she can see just as well as the rest of her species. Granted, that's not very well, but to she who is blind the rest of her life, she relishes ever second of a full moon and it's gift to her. She still carries her lantern everywhere, and has gotten quite adept at appearing normal, given that other Hallvulpines tended to notice what made her made different and take advantage of that, stealing her food stores and sometimes even her dens. But now, she has learned to trust her other sense, after quite a bit of fine tuning and a bruise-filled learning curve; she walks with confidence and speaks to those near her before they can notice her disadvantage. Most, once they find out, respect or admire her at not letting her blindness get to her. Of course, there is always those few who only look for trouble...They quickly learn though, that just because she is blind, doesn't mean is defenseless.
---Rak'esh looks forward to every full moon, even though she has yet to figure out how to predict it. Although she has grown fond of the surprise at waking in the evening and being able to see her lantern before her instead of listening for it's quiet flickering.

It is said that when a man gets bitten by a balverine during the full moon, they become the much more powerful White Balverines, which were slain in the Old Kingdom through the use of silver weapons.

creature: mermaids | though not stated nor mentioned by most depictions and stories of mermaids, many have made the claim that mermaids are affected by the moon, specifically the full moon. the moon has been described to make mermaids gain a temporary condition known as "moon struck", where they lose control of themself and act as if in a daze, and when brought out of it, have no recollection of what happened while they were moon struck. others have cited that the powers and abilities of a mermaid are amplified during a full moon, due to an apparent connection that results in mermaids being strongly affected by it. additionally, some have said that the full moon can be used by mermaids to channel magic into themselves to cast all kinds of magic and powerful spells. even just the reflection of the moon in a mirror or a mere glass of water can provide enough magic for a mermaid to create a potent spell of decent strength.

it's not a very common folklore, though the moon rabbit is said to show on the moon's surface, similar to the man on the moon, though in this case the rabbit will be seen in a ghostly state. the rabbit will lead some into the forest, similar to the scene in alice in wonderland, and lead them down a rabbit hole. though with this tale is a gruesome ending ; the hole is supposedly the living organisms' grave, where they're never to be seen or heard of again.

The then become these waves, and when the moon sees fit to make it high tide, you can see them galloping in the waves, trying to escape their watery prison from whom keeps them their for eternity.
