Name: Leontius (Leo)
Personality: Despite his intimidating appearance, Leo doesn't have a single mean bone in his entire body. Liked by most and even admired by some, Leo's greatest flaw would have to be in his belief that everyone is like him; honest, kind, and ultimately, naturally good. A tad over-confident at times, he is what most would define as a troublemaker, although few would think to call him one. The word "troublemaker" carries a negative connotation with it, and Leo is anything but; his youthful recklessness is contagious in a sort of innocent, carefree way, not at all like that of a troublemaker.
Make up an excuse!:
"Well, you see, I had just left when a peculiar looking book caught my attention, and I thought to myself, "What's that thing doing just sitting in the middle of the road?" So I did what, naturally, any other sane person would have done in my position; I picked it up. I was shocked to discover that it was a copy of The Odyssey, and in near perfect condition, too, albeit a tad dirty, but still! I mean, who could be capable of such a diabolical action? I promptly..." Despite how tediously lengthy his excuses seemed to be, and this one no exception, everyone always seemed to be enraptured by his long, flowing sentences, nodding subconsciously to every word; he was simply too likable to disagree with, even if nobody had the slightest clue what he was talking about. Leo had to have been a professional by then; it was a skill, really, fabricating excuses so effortlessly, and a different one every time at that! "...headed home. I mean, you didn't expect me to leave it there, did you? I spent a good hour just cleaning the darn thing! Do you know how difficult..." Perhaps he saw it as some sort of game; it would make sense, especially since he rarely took anything too seriously. And it was simply impossible to imagine Leo anywhere near a book in the first place; he wasn't exactly the scholarly type. It seemed as though he had gotten away with it, again after all.
