The first thing you notice about Maelee is the way she walks
into a room with confidence. A smile on her face, masking
her deadly intentions. Sweet talk that makes you spill all of
the mistakes you've ever done in your life. She can manipulate
someone as easily as snapping your fingers. Leaning over and
whispering sweet lies to you, she'll slip something in your
drink, give you that same deadly smile, and walk away with
the same confidence. Next thing you know, you're dead.
You can almost feel the mysteriousness radiating off of her
as she walks by, making sure to give you a wink when she
passes. When she's with the spies she commands, she is
serious and strict. She wants to make sure her spies are
ready for anything that is thrown at them, and it's no joke
to her. She has a tendency to get over stressed, which
results her going into spells of madness, meaning both
anger and craziness. If you're close to her, she shows her
love by being cold to you, but she means well... mostly.

I could feel the sweat trickle down my forehead as the next chorus
began to play, and the room was a blur as my fast motion swept me
to the side. The stomp of sneakers against wooden floor rang in my
ears as the song boomed throughout the room. It was my first week
here in the United States, and I couldn't be more nervous. I could
barely speak English properly, and I was supposed to fit in this new
school? How obsurd. I panted and adjusted my glasses as they fell
slightly down the bridge of my nose.

As the song played to the end, the other dancers stopped in their
places and wiped the sweat from their faces before speaking to the
choreographer, still breathing heavily. Unfortunately for me I wasn't
friends with any of the other dancers in the studio, but I was really
hoping that would change. Although, there was one girl who spoke
some Korean. Clearing my throat awkwardly, I stepped up to her, and
spoke.
"안녕, 음, 연습 후에 뭐하고 있니?" I pressed my lips into a thin line as
I awaited her response. To my despair, she tilted her head to the side
and raised a very confused eyebrow. Mentally face-palming, I still
stood there. She jutted her hip out and replied.
"Umm, sorry, but, I don't know what you're saying," she said plainly,
before walking off to the lockers. Shoving my hands into my pockets,
I sighed before unlocking my small storage space and retrieved my
bag, and walked out.
I'm sure you'll find friends in Chicago, my mother had promised.
Maybe she was wrong. I told myself I wouldn't be alone for long, but
perhaps I really would. The crisp city air whipped at my hair as I strolled
through the streets, my brown eyes darting in every direction. This
was all so new to me, and I didn't know what to make of it. Averting my
gaze from anyone who looked back at me, I was just about to walk up
the steps to my new home before my new, strange looking "Iphone" rang.

"Hey, Andrias. Wanna go to the movies later?"
