Reticulum (Name of a real constellation)
Male
Navigator
Res rivalry with siblings to be top in class and loves to listen to parents/stare at stars whenever he can
Stars slowly fade into the sky as darkness falls through, giving beauty in places where evil tends to lurk and love where one wouldn't expect. Three young, ambitious kalons find a way to leave their grand adventures to start the hardest and most loving adventure yet. They met in the beginning of their own adventures that they chose to blaze, adventures that tied them together like moons to a planet. They needed each other, and decided to create a life for each other. This love gave four ambitious, young, and beautiful kalon children. The happiness that grew in these three lovers grew more and more every day their children grew. As their children grew, they showed how they wanted to become space fliers like their parents had, aspiring to make their parents proud and discover the stars that twinkled just out of their reach.
When Reticulum and his siblings were old enough to join the academy and find out what they were going to strive for in a team, Reticulum knew he wanted to be a navigator. He couldn't get his nose away from the night sky as a small kalon kit, asking his parents what every star's name was, their constellations, and what planets or solar systems they belonged to. He knew it was his calling, for he knew that he didn't want to be in charge. They would probably fly into an astroid belt at best if he made the calls, and he didn't want to be stuck fixing the ship where he couldn't see the stars despite them being right there. He didn't even want to be a pilot, worried about where to go and when to get there and all these technically things. He wanted to star at the stars, help navigate through the vastness of space and find where they were to go. Where they had been. Where they were.
He joined the academy when his siblings did and was bored through classes that didn't focus on the stars, but when he got to his navigating classes he payed attention. He excelled in it. He strove to be the best in the class, best in the school at astronomy and star gazing and everything in between. Then his siblings began to boast about how great their days had gone. "You should have seen my flight simulation!" "Trying to command my crew through that astroid field was wicked! You should have been there!" "You will not believe what nuclear energy the teacher accidently exploded in class!". He felt left out, like he wasn't getting all he could. So he decided to take it to the next level. He wanted to go on an adventure that involved navigating himself to somewhere. He wanted that thrill his sibling had, but he needed to be one of the best to even be considered to go on practice flights. That's when he began to challenge his siblings and classmates in everthing. He was going to be the best in his grade and more! He wanted to make it to the top, out to the stars. He wanted to touch space!!!
Reticulum eventually was sent on missions with his classmates, sometimes a sibling or two, to planets nearby to test their skills to the limit and he loved the rush. He craved it. Helping his team find out where to go, how to get back, and taking in all the commands from the leaders or teachers. It was where he belonged.
But one thing he loved more than his small missions to and from planets was his fathers and mother, who would tell tales of their adventures and about the beautiful stars. "Almost as beautiful as my parents" he would often say. That's where he's happiest. His family is always where his heart will run back to. And no matter how competitive he gets, he still loves his siblings more than any star he can name.
