For anyone who asks, if male is chosen for either of these cubs, I already have manes planned. That is,
IF the winner chose male for the cub.
Also like, I cannot stress enough to PLEASE add whether you are applying for No. 119(left) or No. 120(right).
It must be stated somewhere in your form. Do not rely on art to to tell myself and my guest judges who you are trying for.

Rest in peace, baby girl.

Name: aidel.
Gender: male.
Cub: 120; brown bab.
Rank: warrior.
while aidel's official rank is that of a tank, he sometimes doubles as a support. this occurs out of a whim most of the time and quite often gets him in trouble for during practice. the reasons were obvious. after all, there were others who specialised in support; whether he assisted others or not didn't quite matter. on the other hand, it appeared as though aidel was too confident in his abilities, something that would usual end lethally during battle. aidel doesn't think he'll ever stop though; you never know when a mistake might crop up.
Element: earth.
effigy - as the ability is named, effigy is a move that allows aidel to create a model of any creature from the dirt. these can be of any size. as long as aidel controls these statues, they're able to move to do his bidding, thus he uses them to outnumber enemies of greater skill. at this point in time, he's able to control three in the shape of caffers. he sometimes also creates a larger effigy and uses it as a mount; when he does this, he is only able to control the one.
earth wall - a tank should always have the stereotypical defensive skill. this ability is quite self-explanatory. it's a wall formed from the earth to protect allies or cage-in enemies. more often than not, this is a defensive ability he uses to support others. WIP
tartarus - it's as dark as it sounds, but also with its limitations. tartarus cracks the ground open for a certain radius, swallowing up whatever autonomous being was there. that meaning, anything free-moving is swallowed, plants and the like have move with the plates, unless they're in the centre, where they end up falling. or if roots run from one side to the other, they're forcefully snapped. water is also drained through it. once the job is done, the ground closes up as if nothing had happened. the limitations of tartarus is the amount of time it takes to open, and the rumbling that tells of it before the cracks. rather than applying it where aidel's opponents stand, he has to lead them into a trap first or predict their movements. earth wall is well-paired with this ability.
Personality:
on the outside
aidel is a walking statue. he remains expressionless pretty much all of the time, intimidating those who might attempt to approach him. he seems to bear no emotions but a sharp gaze with a hint of boredom. rumours say that when aidel smiles, you won't live to see the light of day. most try to steer from his way from their first impression of him be it just subtle movements to obviously turning on their heels when he walks by. after all, everyone knows how deadly his powers may be. aidel mostly keeps to himself, observing those around him to the finest detail. he just watches from where he can see things happen, laying in a corner by himself.
on the inside
on the contrary, aidel's a self-conscious kid who just wants friends. he's aware of his lack in ability to control his expressions, mostly donning a poker face despite what he's being told. he does try to smile sometimes, but most seem to be freaked out by it and it gets him a little more afraid of what others might think of him. thus leading to aidel's daily practices of facial expression by all bodies of water. aidel isn't afraid to approach others in order to make friends though; it's just when he does, all thoughts vanish from his mind and he just stands there staring at the other party until they feel shivers up their spine. it discourages him a little, but aidel is nothing if not persistent.
History:
as far as aidel can remember, he'd always been a part of the pack. he'd been told quite bluntly during his cub-hood, that he had been an abandoned child, passed on by his rogue parents who begged relentlessly for their child to be accepted. but whatever the reason was, aidel would never know. and whether the pride's leader knew, aidel wouldn't know, nor would ever pry. he sought to believe in his biological parents - they definitely had their own reasons. thus aidel grew up with the pack ordinarily, never feeling betrayed in any way. after all, his truth had been revealed to him early - there was never the need to feel betrayal.
however, everything wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. whilst aidel may have grown up normally, he always knew himself to be different. having been fostered aside, aidel didn't have friends. nor did he have adults to call parents. aidel had always been a shy cub - social encounters were truly not his forte. every time he was approached, his brain would shutdown, would overheat and he would end up discouraging the others from speaking to him through silence or unintentional sharpness. he was outcasted then, and he had no one to blame but himself.
in his teens, aidel only managed to frighten the others further when he ripped a bottomless canyon in the earth. paired with his 'earth wall' move, it was a merciless and formidable ability. but to the leaders and trainers, aidel was a prodigy of sorts. even if his skills were not as quick as they would have liked, they were still strong and capable of felling many in battle. there was debate over his rankings for some time before finally aidel was placed among the tanks since as a front-liner, he could use 'tartarus' to its full capacity. aidel had thought that he might be able to form bonds here, now that he was given a fixed position in the pride. but instead, it turned out the same - perhaps even worse.
the tanks were a rowdy bunch, no doubt. they lived like everyday was their last, even though there were no wars. they were outgoing and friendly - but somehow, there was an invisible wall that separated aidel from the rest of the squad. maybe it was because they were so loud, or maybe it was just because of aidel himself, but despite the time that passed, aidel could never associate with the rest, always hanging about the back with a poker face on. it was because they let him hang around them that he knew they didn't mind his presence, and he was thankful for that. he just wished they'd stop respecting his lack of involvement and try to talk to him more though. because every time he tried to himself, nothing good ever came from it.
during a small battle between the lions and caffers, a couple of tanks, supports and fighters were dispatched for combat. aidel was one of these individuals. the fight had been quite tough, despite outnumbering these beasts and the savagery of the fight had thrown the supports off momentum. it was then the first time aidel had attempted to double as a support whilst dealing with enemies of his own. creating earth walls and controlling effigies to protect exhausted aidel both mentally and physically, but he persisted, putting the lives of the others before himself. but as he was reaching his limit, he formulated a trap. with the last of his energy, he forced the earth to rumble apart before gaping open with a stomp of a paw. aidel had wiped out a number of the caffers, but it wasn't enough and was pulled back by whoever could afford to help.
it changed the views others had of him. after the battle had been won, aidel found himself the recipient of grateful thank-yous and praise. it surprised him to no end, breaking him out of his usual straight-face. he found himself named a hero by some who had attended the fight. it was an exaggeration, he knew, but it made him feel good to know he was finally accepted by the lions. and when he returned to camp, life would go on as it always had - but now, he had people to greet him and smile at him and talk to him. even if some were still discouraged from speaking with him, he knew that he wasn't alone.
