Now, which vice was it this time? Pride? Envy? Cas didn't know what he'd felt before coming into the dilapidated and terribly eerie building, but what he did know now was fear.
The walls were quite literally falling apart, pieces of rubble were littered at his feet and broken fixtures hung from the ceiling. The very first sign that something was amiss was when he noticed that one of the lights were . . swinging. It was so light a motion that he wouldn't've noticed it had he not been hyperaware of his surroundings, all five senses awash with adrenaline.
"Not funny, guys," Cas managed to say cooly before he turned, stiff, to exit the building. Every single hair on his body was standing up — it felt so wrong to be there.
Cas strode quickly out to where his friends were waiting, their eager eyes flickering up and down to see if anything had gotten at their friend. "Think of a better dare next time, maybe," he said with a cocky tilt to his head, the sneer in his voice not betraying the fear and sense of wrongness still lingering in his throat.
It must've happened when he was in there, he didn't know who or how or what, but when Cas woke the next morning to see a haze of something in his vision, he stumbled into the bathroom, staring at blue when it should've been brown — at eyes that weren't his.
