Username: Razors
Name: Eight
Gender: Female
Song: I'd love to change the world. (Either by Ten years after*Original song*, or by Jetta.)
Explanation (300 words): Eight is the eighth child, nameless as are the others, all save the first son. Sibling to Six and Nine, she was raised in a similar, careless way as all but the first. And similar to Six and nine, she faced torture and abuse at the hands of her siblings and parents, especially her eldest brother. Eight has a very strong sense of right and wrong, but she simply doesn't have the courage to act on her desire to right the wrongs she sees. Growing up, she had tried many times to stand up for herself or for her younger sibling, Nine, only to be beat into submission by one of her siblings, or even her parents. Eight contains a massive desire to see justice served to those who do others wrong or harm others. Though sadly she simply does not know what to do. Upon leaving home, she yet again tried to make a change in the world for the better, only to find herself in a dangerous situation that could have costed her her life. Withdrawing from the light, she almost abandoned the new life she had found, but her sense of justice kept her lingering in her newfound 'home'. Frustrated and angry, she attempted to indirectly divert bad things from happening, but influencing a situation by use of police was flawed. They sometimes wouldn't show up or not on time if they did. It wasn't until she met the small vigilante group run by Tristram that she finally found someone she could confide in, as well as a way to make a difference. Quietly, indirectly, safely, she simply needs to watch. Alerting Tristrams people to those 'bad guys' who need punished. She still feels frustrated that she can't do more, but for now, this is enough. (299 words)
Extras (1 art piece or 300 words):Thanks to Tristram, Eight has a new purpose in life. Tristram has given Eight a home and a job, which she deeply appreciates, especially since the alternative was either living on the streets or living the feral life like she grew up in. The man has also offered to pay for defense classes, though she has declined the offer. Eight is attempting to make a new life for herself, and longs to one day discover a place of peace. She thinks that, if possible, she might like to own a little flower shop one day. Or at least have a green house. The abuse from her youth still keeps her restrained in the place of new company. But once she has found a place she is comfortable, she becomes a bright and cheery individual. She has a lot of 'big' dreams, she's told. She desires to see the world change for the better, even though she still doesn't really know how to do so. She makes little changes in the lives of some, but she still desires to see big changes in the world and to be a part of that change. She does her best to take baby steps and influence others to do the same. Simple things...like recycle, or say a single nice thing to a stranger, or perhaps to give a flower to someone. Teeny things that she believes, if everyone did, would surely make the world a lovely place. A part of her knows that her dreams are unrealistic, but she sometimes would rather live in her dreams that in the real world. (267 words)
