what happened?Rain was something that always calmed her, a soft and light sound that eased breathing and stress.
Thunder and lighting gave her excitement. Sitting safely inside she listened to the way it cracked silence and brought light to the darkness of night.
Snow made her sleepy, the soft white flakes fell silently in slow waves. Curling up in a nice warm blanket as she watched it fall...
Weather always interested her and her grandmother knew well for they shared this love. Whether it was counting seconds between the booms of thunder or building snow bunnies they did everything together. Until they couldn't.. ill and much too old her grandmother eventually passed one dark stormy night.
Lora eventually began avoiding the cold December days, hiding when thunder clapped, crying with the rain.. nothing was the same anymore.

Dear sunny-bun,
Happy 16th birthday~
I don't know what has happened between now and when I made this for you but I hope you love it none the less.
As I write this your out splashing in rain puddles, your little blue rain boots will surely track in quite the mess.. hehe~
Your going to grow up into such a beautiful young lady but I fear that my time will come before I can see it happen.. thats why I write this now. Why I want to make you this gift.
Never forget our times together.
Never forget the memories we will share.
Never linger in the past child..
When I go, move on!
Live your life with joy!
Dance in the rain!
Sing as the snow falls!
Listen as the thunder rumbles like your tummy when your hungry~
Remember our times in your memories and go make new ones I would be proud of!
,Your GrammyOpening the box, tears cascading down her cheeks Lora found a soft and cute scarf. Seeing the lightning bolts and snow decorating the ends she smiled, tears still fell but they were no longer from sorrow. Remembering a saying her grandmother always told her Lora let go and accepted the truth.
"Life is like the weather.
You might think you'll know what will happen but it is still unpredictable, you must be ready for changes and accept that the unexpected will happen"
