What's their backstory with the Spaniel?:

Spark was at first, a therapy dog. She lived in a hospital and she would help the patients by giving them company love. One day the spanial came in with a patient who needed emergency care. The patient was taken quickly away to get treated but no one was really sure what they could do with the dog. The hospital staff were still worrying when spark came and curled up next to the spanial to comfort them. The staff figured that the dogs could do okay so they just gave them food and water and watched. A few days later the spaniels owner had recovered and came to take her dog home. They were out and them probably would have gotten into their can and that would have been that for the dogs but Spark followed them and refused to let them go. The staff had no clue what to do, they couldn't keep both. When the woman offered to take both of them the hospital wasn't sure but it seemed like the only option so they said yes and aparently the two were inseperable for years. Sadly, a few years later the woman retied and couldn't take her dogs so she left them to Second Chance Shelter.

What's their backstory with the Spaniel?: Tallulah hasn’t actually known Daisy for very long. Despite her love for the world, Talia’s a bit shy— always wary around humans since she knew there was no buffer for her when confronting another person. She was originally trained to be a guide dog for her previous ailing owner, a small child who lost her sight in a car accident. Talia adored her job and her human alike, but it wasn’t set to last long. The family had money problems from the constant hospital bills for the young girl, so they weren’t able to afford the training for Talia after a while. It got to the point where they had to give up Tallulah since they couldn’t afford the growing puppy, either. Talia was set to live with one of the workers at the guide dog training center, but mixed up paperwork put her in a completely different shelter. She was only there for a few days, but the new environment spooked her enough to escape the shelter, and from there she ended up another unfortunate stray. There have been many times where she’s seen a kind face pass her by on the streets since she wasn’t audacious enough to approach another human. But, Daisy managed to change that for Talia. The spaniel is definitely rambunctious where Talia isn’t, always ready to charm her way into the good graces of any human they come across. Her jovial nature allowed the two to become quick, temporary friends, and Talia was more than happy to have a friend watch her back. Daisy welcomed Talia to her side, and for the next few months, one dog couldn’t be seen without the other. Daisy’s openness pulled Talia out of her shell long enough to warm up to humans once more. The two spent their days getting food from kinder humans (or stealing from ruder ones, admittedly) and simply roaming around the city. When they were finally picked up by SCS, Talia is a little disheartened to find that Daisy would be leaving her, but her newfound confidence makes her eager to be adopted.
