ne's home is a simple cabin by the woods with a violet
paint splatter on the floor. new paint in varying shades
is constantly being poured and paint dragged around
by feet to create more patterns, as well as white that's
dipped in sometimes. the rest of the home is plain,
a drenched driftwood colour, and it looks like it's made
of it too.
it's a simple home, and it seems to change depending on
who's looking at it.
it fits ne completely.

oil and was like, yes! these guys are an amazing

Cetus, a heku of her own kind, to say the least. Peculiar
she is indeed, and her home only shows that more.

Cetus (a greek name meaning 'sea monster of Poseidon')
lives in a cave that's much larger on the inside than the
small entrance would make you think. It's location isn't
in the side of some dry plateau, but instead right on the
shore of the Atlantic ocean. From the outside, the narrow
tunnel opening looks like one of the many other caves on
the stretch of shoreline cliffs that has overtime been
eroded by the waves, however inside this cave is where
it varies. Just a few feet within the cave and the salt
crystals start. The cave is a salt cave, with solid salt
formations hanging from the ceiling and jetting up from
the floor. The smell of the ocean lingers in the air, and
the moisture is what Cetus loves best. Her home sticks
to the common fact that heku's caves are often mostly
watered, as her salt cave is about 3/4 submerged under
the ocean's water.

The interior of Cetus' home is decorated to her own
appeal, as with almost all Heku's caves - only Cetus'
has a little more of a dark background, literally.

She had only been at this cave for a little over a year
and a half when it happened. A cargo ship had moved
off course and ended up passing too close to the shore,
slamming right into a large rock outcrop. The result; a
massive oil spill that flooded right into her cave,
coating everything in a layer of thick black film -
including herself. When the humans came a month
later to clean it up (it taking that long because of how
isolated and hard-to-get-to this coast is) she had to try
her hardest to keep hidden, which she did. Blocking off
her cave in order to hide herself, she also trapped some
of the oil residue in her cave - which to this day still sits
on the walls and salt formations. To pass boredom, she
started to draw designs with the oil on the walls,
creating art and patterns in the way one would with
ink.

Today, she still uses oil that she had jarred up to add
to forever growing murals. Some even say that her
eyes, teeth and some scales are still stained from
the oil.

She has no doubt that what happened was indeed a
horrid tragedy, but she always seems to find the good
amongst the bad, and that's exactly what she did in
this situation.

Some rumors go around that she is the one that caused
the wreck, and she has never responded when
questioned by other hekus, but give her time, and
maybe she'll surprise you.

Ruse lives in a small, dimly lit stone cave whos floor has long been worn from a cool stream that now runs through a divet in the ground on the side wall. The walls are scattered with cracks that have been filled with soft pink glowing mushrooms Ruse had found in a distant cave system and propagated and upkept himself. The floor has been scattered with soft soil, free of any moss or extra plants that might decide to take it as their new home, the soil covered floor was made that way for soft tredding and to keep others from worrying about bringing dirt that would have to be swept later, into the home. The walls were decorated alongside the fungus with dark black, reflective scales, his own to be exact, the pitch black scales added a dark star feel to the room which made it all the more amazing.



In the middle of the room, there is a flattened rock that had been used as a tabletop, however it is often filled with bits and pieces to make heku jewelry and accessories such as hand made clay beads, small gemstones, necklace strings, twine, and the occasional piece of handweaved cloth. It is clearly the table for an accessory maker such as Ruse.
on the wall reflective of the small stream there is a nest-type soil bed with a blanket of different colored cloth patches.
