name malachi (MAEL-uh-k ay) - "lovers on the sun" ( show ). gender unaltered ♂

meet malachi, a fairly interesting brute with a hard past and bright future....
let us start off at the beginning, shall we? the pale coated brute was born among
his siblings in the later days of april. his mother, seemingly careless and irrespon
sible, left her pups alone for too long regularly. this caused the yapping pups to b
e discovered by humans and taken away to be adopted off as they were deemed "
abandoned". that is the last, true memory malachi has of his mother. the events
afterward are so vividly imprinted in his mind that it is uncertain that he will for
get. lets take a quick look at that time.....
young malachi wrote:these creatures stand on their two hind legs and walk around with no trouble at all! i wonder how long it must
have taken for them to master such a skill. i can barely walk on my own four paws. i find myself tripping over
these clumsy paws regularly. nothing out of the normal, though. my siblings still can barely stand.
every now and then, these bare-pelted creatures come back and set their piercing gaze over me and my sibli
ngs. a certain protectiveness comes over me and i want to protect my kin from their patronizing looks. i mu
ster all the strength i have and let out a pitiful little growl. but somehow, it annoys the creatures greatly....
their gazes only sharpen and i see one start to reach for me. i turn quickly and scramble away as fast as my
paws can carry me, yet the creatures paws wrap around me. i let out a yelp in surprise and hope to warn my
siblings, yet i get no reaction. they're sleeping.
the creature takes me up, farther and farther, until my siblings details are nearly unrecognizable. suddenly,
my world begins to move. i am moving ahead at a steady walking pace, but i am held securely in the creat
ure's paws and i can barely move my legs. that is when it happened.
the creatures take me farther away from my siblings. i am then taken to a cruel place, someplace every dog
tries to avoid. i wont go into great detail of these conditions, but every day, an innocent canine is taken aw
ay into a back room. they never return from that dimly lit room...
sometime later, i am leashed and taken back. the creatures pull the rope tighter and tighter each time i str
uggle or pull against their force. there is no escaping this. i am lead into the dim lit room and placed upon
a cool metal tabletop. there is one creature holding me down, and casually stroking my fur. the other held
a large device, one that can be described as a needle. i knew what this meant.
but suddenly, the doors burst open. a creature walks in shouting and causing quite a ruckus. but then i find
myself being handled and gently placed into a crate. where was i to be taken?
i was taken to the farmer, my owner. he saved my life.

being introduced and united with his two companions, or rather siblings, was what brought him life. after experienc
ing the horrific time spent in the pound, where he was nearly euthanized, malachi was deeply scarred. being so youn
g and fragile only made the time worse. having the support that his two new companions gave him revived his broken
heart. unfortunately, the events still have a certain impact on him today. he rarely talks, unless spoken to or for reas
on, his self conscious state coming from the certain guilt he felt all throughout his childhood, and his serious and stern
side coming from the serious situations he had to go through during his tough life. but either way, he still has this soft
and kind heart that is truly special. he is often very polite and joins in with his companions playfulness. singing is his
passion. when joining in on the music, the brute lets out all the emotions built up inside. you can hear it in his voice.
now, to his siblings. he doesn't favor one over the other, but he does truly care for them. having lived with them for
so long, of course he has strong brotherly feelings for them. nothing of romance or anything, for he treats them like s
iblings. having not grown up in a litter, it's easier for him to make bonds with the closest friends he has to siblings.
kali -- this one sister has always been the most hyper and active of the bunch. she was always running around chasing
the various animals around the farm. kali is sweet and an all about ball of energy. forgetting her annoying habits, mal
achi still loves his sister. being the quiet and serious one, it's harder to deal with her enthusiastic self, but he finds a
way to anyways. a favorable memory :
malachi and kali wrote:kali was about chasing a vole among the soy beans. i winced every time she nearly trampled a plant.
shaking my head, i wondered how the farmer would react to seeing the energetic fae prancing among his crop.
it was a warm spring day. the sun was beating down on my pelt and i started to heat up quickly. but it wasn't
too bad, definitely not sweltering hot. it was nice weather, one of my favorite seasons. a triumphant howl ripp
ed through the air, bringing my attention back to kali. there she stood, proudly holding a vole in her jaws. she t
rotted over with a peppy step and approached with her head held high. "look what i've got!" she announced, w
hile the creature fell from her mouth. luckily, the poor thing was still alive, and it managed to scramble away.
"well, now it got away." she sighed, slight sadness in her voice. i looked over with a chuckle and sat up to face h
er. "oh, you poor thing." i replied gently in a sarcastic tone. "did it hurt you?" i made a show of worriedly sear
ching her pelt for any wounds. by then, kali's face was all scrunched up in annoyance. she huffed and picked her
self back up onto her paws. "i'm fine, malachi. will you stop now?" she chuckled. "sure thing." i chuckled, and
laid back down upon the soft grasses.
#194 -- ___ is the second most outgoing of the trio. they're almost just as confident and crazy as kali can be sometime
s. yet, they have this laid back and calm side to them that soothes malachi's nerves when he really needs it. but really, t
hey're just another ball of fluff that takes an extra effort to deal with. ( don't know their personality, so i made it up )
a favorable memory :
malachi and #194 wrote:i had become extremely frustrated that day. we were just out herding the flock, yet not one would move. i had
to really snap at their heels to get them moving, being extremely forceful and aggressive. i needed to find a way
to get the sheep to follow our commands. and once again, that responsibility was set upon my heavy shoulders. i
perked up as someone entered the room. it was but ( #194 ). they came in with a worried expression, seeming
to notice my distress. "that was quite a struggle, wasn't it?" they spoke, mentioning our troubles in the field. i
managed to sigh and nod my head, lying my head upon my paws. "a mess we have gotten ourselves into." i gro
wled, closing my tired eyes.
"malachi," their voice piped up after a few moments of silence. i opened my eyes to meet their gaze. "we'll fig
ure out a way to get back in command. surely we can all work together. if you would like, i can give you a fe
w ideas of my own for you to consider." a smile fell upon my lips and i raised up into a sitting position. "thank
you, ( #194 ). i would love your help."
