How'd they get the scars?: There were a lot of people in the one house with her when she was adopted as a puppy, and none of them treated her very well so she ran away when she got the chance. She ran deep into the woods and found a patch of brambles and thorns that pricked her when she approached. She decided to dig under the patch to hide and sleep but some caught her and cut her pretty badly. She dug a hollow in the ground to curl up in and with her new hiding spot, she was able to treat her wounds away from the searching eyes of the people who had come looking for her.
One of them called out, "come here Honey! we won't hurt you! come on Hun!"
And so she thought her name must be Honey, not knowing that she hadn't been named yet and it was just a term of endearment being used to sound more gentle. The people gave up looking for her and soon, Honey was safe from them.

How'd they get the scars?:

Lilliana was used as a Fighting Dog, and was often the sore looser of the fights. She was never killed, but she has been left with many nasty scars that show just how much she has been through. Even though she was trained to fight and kill, she is one of the nicest dogs you will ever see. It is very hard to walk her outside because other dogs scare her, even if they are tiny, because she fears they will attack her and leave more scars on her pelt. She is spooked easily by loud noises, yelling, and other dogs barking. She likes to always be by the side of her owner, and if her owner is in fear, she will go into defense mode and protect her owner. When the rescuers first found her, she had an almost fatal bite mark on her throat, and she was spilling out blood. Thankfully, the vets were able to stitch her up and save her life, and they called her Miracle until she was adopted. They found out that she had her uterus broken open, and quickly had to do surgery on it. Her scars are all healed, and she is still a health, happy dog. Many people are scared of her, but the owner does not care, they love her anyways!

How'd they get the scars?: She was in a pack of wild dogs. They grew up together, they fought for each other, died for each other, lived for each other. Rosa was always the one to run into danger, but she almost never made mistakes. When a human or another wild dog got into a fight with one of her family, she would attack, defend. Those scars are the battles she has had for her family, but they're also the memories of good times. Mistakes, defending, memories. Those scars are all she has left of her once great pack.

I felt that this keyed into her design the most. So congrats!

For those that said her story was about her being a fighting dog, I suggest you to read the following;
Fighting dogs aren't often dropped off or kept at shelters long due to them often being greatly hostile towards other dogs and sometimes other people. It doesn't matter what temperament that they might have had before because they often are extremely hostile towards other dogs due to their training. If they were soft and sweet, they would be used as bait dogs, which might have been a better solution to go with rather than a fight dog story. This is just to slightly correct those that made this mistake. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just giving a bit of incite to how fighting dogs work aside from bait dogs. I do not suggest these stories however this is how interesting and realistic stories work in these terms.
