keatons past was rough. they always were coming home from school with new bruises and scrapes each day, and as a comfort dish, they would get homemade chili from their mother. their mother was always a good, lovely, and sweet kal, and always did what she thought was best for her child. keaton is thankful for what she was able to give, and the amazing foods that also came out of their relationship. they were both great cooks, and keatons skill coming from home teachings and love. their favorite comfort food is by far chili due to the emotional support that it served, and the soft, warm stew was (relatively) quick and easy to make. it was always there, and keaton never grew sick of it. they and their mother were truly best friends, doing everything together, and making food for their friends and extended family. everyone loved their cooking, and in some circles, their food got quite the recognition. a few years after keaton got out of highschool, their mother fell ill. times were tough, and all they knew to do was to make a good batch of chili, sort of paying homage to what their mother did for them. after a few tough years in and out of the hospital, their mother passed. keaton took it hard, and was devastated. but everything in life has an end. it took a while for them to realize that, and when they did, they cherished memories of good times the two spent together, and ever so often, keaton cooks up a big batch of their special chili

She grew up with simple pleasures in a place where hard work was key to success.
Her mother would toast the best grilled cheese for miles, [according to her father]
and the family would eat it up with such enthusiasm there would be no leftovers,
and happy smiles.

Hannah

French Fries. Hannah LOVES French fries. Especially In-N-Out fries- animal style. She loves that potato-ey, salty goodness. Whenever she goes out to eat with her friends, you can count on her hogging all the fries, so her friends tend to order a lot and hide some of them. If Hannah is feeling sad or depressed, she'll drive (or walk, if she has to) to the nearest fast food restaurant and order 4 or 5 fries- and they don't last very long.

It HAS to be bread. Honestly bread can be eaten plain, toasted, whatever and it still manages to always taste great. Beatrice mostly likes it super hot, and will never eat it cold or burnt. She's pretty picky about what goes on it though- some of her favorites include; strawberries, coconut shavings, guacamole, bugs, cereal, and mango. She's always trying new things on her bread, though still very picky.
Beatrice normally eats bread when she's sleepy, frustrated, depressed, or in need of some cheering up. She feels like bread has her back. It sounds so dumb, but it's something she's grown up on. She also loves cooking with it because of how many things bread can make. Casseroles, pretzels, cake, so many things. Lately she's been obsessed with going to this giant local market and trying out the breads, and food there, cooking, eating, and trying everything out. If she doesn't like what she eats from the seller's booth, she doesn't buy from them again, that's how picky she can be.
She also is known for being the best at making her own bread. She only sells it locally, and has a list of people she sells to every week. Beatrice's more laid back about it, and doesn't sell it at markets, instead you ask her to be added to the list, which she always adds whoever wants to buy some. For Christmas, she makes her famous potato soup, of course with a side of Italian bread.

Ghost poop. Many.. wouldn't consider this a 'comfort' food, but Kissie, oh, he does. The first time he had it, it was a sad occasion..

"Hey, mom," Kissie said quietly, approaching his mother who was laying in her bed, her eyes closed. "Kissie," she croaked back to him. Kissie perched himself on the side of her bed, slumping down. "Kissie, I.. I bought this for you." She held out a tiny bag of the marshmallowy treats weakly. Kissie gently took the bag and buried his face in her fur. "Mom, I love you. I love you, I love you."

She died that night, but Kissie will always remember her fondly and closely - no matter how much she is missed.

There Favorite comfort food is the all mighty buttermilk pancake.Why the pancake.Well when you live in a very little supplies of food you make the best out of your bad situation.When he was just a little kit he used to make pancakes with his mom.It was always his happiest memories when he could dig into a nice warm pancake with delicious maple syrup.No other food could bring a bigger smile to his face
