Its not exactly something she signed up for. At least not intentionally at first. It just happened.
She supposed she should have seen it coming. She had such a strange connection with animals. Which was why she chose to work with the once in a lifetime animal care program. She just never expected to be saddled with the birds. Birds were fragile and not something she'd wanted...at first. But working with them taught her both patience and understanding. She created the gourds because of how frightened the little group of doves had been. She figured being close to her helped.

What is the most defining point in their life?:
Probably the first time she was ever out on the open plains of Africa with her father. The first safari she'd ever been on with him before and she'd been terribly determined to prove herself. To prove she could handle such a task. She had never once seen her father, but her mother told grand stories about him and his adventures out there in the world. She just never knew she'd be able to explore one of them with him. It was the first time she ever met the man and the first time she encountered the love for animals.
