Hurry up and hit the lights
Darkness alone will save us
So help us take our flight

We your people who need saving

Dawn may indeed be coming
But our fight will be in dark

Your blood runs red, just as ours

It is an original poem but it's based on the book, The Red Queen, which I would recommend reading if you read the summary and like it. It's a really good book and so is the entire series in my opinion. So this poem is based on the first book, the Red Queen, which I love.

Angel's Flight

I once had a single dream,
Of winged horses roaming skies,
But I'd never thought I'd meet one,
And see her eye to eye.

Her gaze remained a greeting warmth,
As her nicker, soft and sweet,
Would captivate my every thought,
And take me off my feet,

She spread her wings and off we went,
Holding on quite tight,
We passed every single star,
Pushing through clouds of white,

As the flight began to take its toll
She landed atop my home,
I hugged her, weeping a single tear,
The pegasus nickered softly, saying

You will never be alone.
