explanation;;
josh has a very distinct stylistic choice. he loves bowties, as he just think they fit his personality more and make him pass off as more "manly" in a way. he has a variety of them in his closet and makes sure to wear one every day. he doesn't know why, but they make him feel much more comfortable with himself.
every time josh goes into town, he carries his bag with him. in it, he carries sweets and small toys to give to children to make them happy. it may make him seem a little strange, but he always asks the parents before he does this, just to make sure it's okay. it makes him happy to give the kids presents and see the happy smiles on their faces.
finally, there's the bracelet. josh got this bracelet when he was a child, from his mother. every week, the two of them would go on a walk in the forest, and his mom would tell him to "make a wish". he thought it was a little silly, depending on a little flower to magically grant his wish, but he always did it. one day, his mom came home with the bracelet and laid it in his paws very gently.
"i made it for you. now, any time you need to wish for something, just hold this in your paws, close your eyes, and wish. i promise you, it will come true."
josh wears the bracelet every day as a piece of nostalgia from his childhood, and because it comforts him to have something his mom gave him.

Eleanor has run several sewing/crochet shops in her life, and the brown button on her beanie is one that she took from her old shop before she moved. She crocheted the beanie herself when she was young, and it was the first (successful) article of clothing she made, at sixteen. The pins are also of importance; the yellow from a crochet conference in 2014, the orange is rather small with a heart from her mother. The purple one exclaims "Wow!", and she received it in a make-your-own clothing contest, and was a participation "prize". Finally, the blue is an odd one from a best friend before she moved, and it just has her favorite number, nine, on it.
The charm bracelet has four charms on it, and the charm bracelet is a bit small and worn out, as she got this when she was eighteen. It has a heart, a kangaroo, two crossed sewing needles, and an "O". The heart is a symbol for love, and the kangaroo stands for her favorite animal. The two sewing needles are her favorite, although most people take it for an "X" from further away. Because of this, she added an "O" charm, that way people would take it as "XO" if they were looking from afar. Friends of her know that the "X" charm is really the needles.
The silver band is a mysterious article. She fell in a rushing river when she was small, and when she managed to escape, she'd found a silver band covered in dirt. She could never explain it, and since there wasn't anyone nearby, she took it. It was always too small for her wrist, so she has always wore it on her ankle as a story to tell and a keepsake from the small event.

Ruben is such a black and blue lover. He normally just wears it because it reminds him of a blue jay. He doesn't do much but sit around. He is also very shy.

Latte wears her beloved pink socks every day because the socks were a gift from her grandma who has now passed away. she believes that her grandma's soul has become part of the socks, and she wants her grandma to always be with her. the socks were made with a strong yet soft yarn, which explains why they are still in good condition. Latte rarely takes off her socks, and has never worn a different pair of socks ever since her grandma's passing. she has been teased about her socks multiple times, but she doesn’t care. all Latte cares about is that she has her socks with her, so her grandma’s soul is always near her to guide her.

in other words, Latte is a kalon that loves her pink socks because she believes her beloved grandmother’s soul is a part of them, and she wants her grandma to always be beside her.

Michael is a diehard Dr. Strange fan. When he was little, he found a ton of old comics at a garage sale, and although all of them interested him, Strange Tales #110 was by far his favorite. He loved everything about the character; Steven Strange was his rolemodel. Michael's father was a doctor, but died of TB when Michael was a baby. He liked to think of his father as a Dr. Strange-type doctor. The release of the new movie made him the happiest kalon of the year- he's already gone to see it twice.

Michael loves to look around thrift stores, and when he found leopard-print gloves he had to have them. They weren't perfect, but they worked. He found an old vampire cape at a discount halloween store, and rarely takes it off. Even though he could buy a professional costume online, he prefers his homemade one. It's much more special. The third item, his necklace, was a gift from a childhood friend. The hodgepodge attempt at a cosplay outfit is by far one of Michael's most cherished items, and he will wear it whenever he gets the chance.
