Ski trudged against the growing winds. His long, overgrown fur made it twice as hard and his bright eyes darted around looking for some shelter or somewhere to hide for the time being. Another wave of heavy snow hit Ski with a blast, stinging the Viscet's eyes and nose. Grabbing at anything to sink his claws into, he found a soft body about his height... and It was alive. "Hey dude, watch it." The male hissed, whipping around. A tuft of what must have been his tail brushed Ski's nose and made him sneeze. "S.. So..rry.." He shivered, sinking to the ground and curling up for warmth. It took Ski a moment, but somehow the Viscet had stumbled into a cave. The snow pelted the opening entrance, but the other male gave him a bit of warmth. "Here, Have this. Im Paladino, but you can call me Pai." The warm smile warmed up Ski's insides, and he stood shakily. Pai trotted over and helped balance the other male and steadied him. Ski's heart fluttered, an trying to force the feeling away he ended up blushing. Pai looked over, and stopped. "You.. you ok? Here, hurry along we need to get out of the coldest parts." Pai pulled Ski along, and soon both Viscets where curled around a warming fire. "I.. im Storm.. but I like being called Ski." The male looked at the fire, feeling the cold seep away from him. The viscets long, puffed mane was standing upright, something it did when wet. Pai laughed, and smiled widely. "Your mane is so... beautiful." Ski looked up from the fire, but looked back down to hide his blush. "Th... thank you. I like your.. pattern. Its really pretty." Both viscets started to get hungry, but Ski said nothing. Pai clambered up, and looked over to Ski, who was still sitting. "You want anything to eat?" Ski looked at the other male and shrugged. "Sure, if you have extras." Pai disappeared for a few moments, returning with a feat. "Here, enjoy." He placed the food down next to the hungry male and began eating. "Your lucky i found you when I did. You might have been stuck out there and froze to..." "No, I found you. It was chance I stumbled into you." Storm cut in, glaring softly at the other male. He finished up the food hungrily and stood up. "Hey.. can I sit next to you..?" Pai nodded. "Sure!" Ski admired the males openness and kindness towards others. He laid down quietly and made himself comfy. After a few moments he could feel Pai messing with his mane. Smiling, the male fell asleep.
Ski woke up to a bit of chuckling. Two viscets where sitting in the corner nose to nose laughing. He recognized Pai, but the other... he wasnt too sure. The snow had died down to just a light flurry, and Ski contemplated leaving. "Oh, your awake." The strange viscet looked at Ski curiously. "Ye..yeah?" He blinked, shaking his pelt lightly. The small stained glass pattern dancing in the light. "Im Sik, Pai's good... friend." He stole a glance to the other male, who looked down. Ski felt a slight pang of jealousy but thought twice. He didnt even know the other viscet, let alone should he feel jealous. Ski waved slightly. "Im Ski. I got lost in the snowstorm. Thats when i ended up here... Pai took me in." He noticed an unease in Sik and edged to the cave opening. "M.. maybe I should go.." He gave a half-hearted smile. He nodded his head. "Thanks for taking me in." He stopped when Sik let out a small squeal. Pai had tackled the male and clambered over him to Ski. "Hey, look. Let us come with you.. we really need to get out, Right Sik." The male opened his muzzle to protest but quickly clamped it shut. With a loud huff the male stood and trotted to Pai. "Ok... lets go." Sik's voice was flat and unemotional from the normal, happy go lucky viscet he was. The snow had stopped, but Sik was complaining. "You need to move in with me. I dont know why you havent yet." Pai elbowed him. "Stop. Thats rude we have a guest." Sik rolled his eyes, but stopped talking. He looked over to Ski, who was walking awkwardly with his head lowered slightly. "Hey, cheer up! Its ok." Pai smiled, only to get a jealous glance from Sik."Hey, can we stop with all this. I dont.. like it." Sik huffed.
After a few hours of walking, Ski began to ask about food. "Dont worry. We will get there... soon." Sik was being sarcastic again. Storm couldnt figure out why he kept being so snappy, but He figured Pai was his boyfriend. Ski shrugged, and looked back to the two viscets. He smiled, and in a swift mood change Sik waved back. The trio came apon a large cliff overlooking the ocean. Ice chunks floated calmly across the glassy surface. Smiling, Storm sat on the edge and looked out. "What if we stop here?" Pai nodded, and Sik shrugged. "Sure." He padded and grabbed some large branches to make shelter. The sun began setting when both Pai and Sik finished the shelter. Pai clambered inside, SIk and Storm following suit. "Its really pretty." Pai saighed, leaning against Sik. "Course it is.. We're on the edge of the world." Storm replied, and curled up, soon falling asleep to the calming crickets and fireflies.
