Shailaja is fascinated by the stars in the sky. She absolutely loves it when her rider takes her out in the crisp early mornings, when the air is chilly and the barn is still silent. Sometimes, when it's early enough, she can see the stars fading away from the sun. There aren't many times when she is taken out late at night, and she's hardly ever outside in the pastures over night. So the only times she is able to see the stars is during her early morning rides. Shailaja is a very curious mare who loves to wander aimlessly around. Shes also very sweet and calm, laid black. But that doesn't mean she's lazy, she's actually very active and loves to run. She enjoys the idea of being free and is usually the cause of why she escapes the pastures so often. All of her inspiration comes from the stars. In her mind, they are free spirits that go as they please. Yet they are collective, quiet, and social. That too is probably why she likes to be in the bigger pastures and has so many friends. Her favourite stars, are the ones that shoot across the sky and are gone in the blink of an eye. Although it's not all about stars. Shailaja will never truly understand them and as so, she cares more for her friends and her rider. Those things that she can actually touch and help her through the rough times in life. She just really loves to imagine, and sometimes it gets the best of her.

Majarra is overall a gentle an friendly mare who does not mind meeting new horse or people, and she
is more then willing to welcome them to the stable when they arrive. She is graceful and she prefers
to keep a graceful, elegant air about her, especially when it comes to her movements and words. She is
quiet though and does not speak much, though this does not make others see her as shy or withdrawn,
she just speaks more with her movements and expressions then she actually does with her words. She can
sometimes be strict, especially when it comes to the safety of the foals. She does worry about their safety,
especially when playing somewhere dangerous or when they mess with older, more grumpy horse that might
snap at them if provoked enough. She is generally calm and does her best not to freak out, she hates when
other see her freak out and would rather be seen as a horse with control of herself. She is a night owl
and she loves to gaze at the stars at night. One of the first things she saw when she was born, the night
holds a special place in her heart, and it has shaped her and how she lives her life.

A New Star Is Born:
There was a chill to the air and I blinked my eyes, staring at the new world around me. My first moment in
the world, and I looked up to see the one who brought me into the world, the one who I called mother. Her
eyes seemed to glow in the night, and behind her was a shimmering backdrop of stars, lighting up the night,
shining down on me in my first moments. I wanted to reach up to them, to touch them. As I struggled to
stand, struggled to take those first few steps into my new life, the stars encouraged me. I struggled against
gravity in a battle to reach the golden milk that would give me the strength to grow. My legs shook beneath
me and then collapsed. I tried again, extending my front legs before me and pushing up, then my back legs
followed. I was shaky as I tried to get closer to the warm milk, the stars seemed to encourage me the entire
time. I nudged and searched, trying to find the teat that would be the source of the precious liquid. I felt
my mother use her nose, nudging me in the right direction, patient with me and my new found senses. The
milk was warm and welcoming once I found the teat, giving me further strength to walk, to explore my new
world. The sun started to rise, and I remember that early morning as half the sky was orange-gold and the
rest has an ever lightening blue, stars still visible against the darker sky, becoming fewer and fewer as my
welcomed the day. I did not feel the same. I missed the stars, missed the night, and as much as the warmth
was welcome, I thought of the stars as friendly protectors. I never wanted them to leave.
