L.O.C. Name:
Khari (meaning; king-like)
Gender:
Female
Element:
Fire
Rank:
Warrior, yet to decide between fighter and tank
Personality:
Khari is a very laid back and calm, at least she likes to think. She sees herself as a wise, serene and easy lioness, while lions who met her beg to differ. At first glance she appears indeed very peaceful, laying on her side, enjoying the relaxing heat of the sun with her eyes almost closed, but she is easily provoked. Her element is fire and it's not only found in her power, but in her personality as well. The smallest thing can set Khari off, burning her up inside. Not affraid for confrontation she will take on anyone, be it verbally or physically. Verbal attacks will be countered with witty, sassy remarks and if that doesn't work, things will get heated. Either provoking the opponent to attack or countering an already initiated assault, she will give it all she's got to show who the stronger lion is. Her mouth can get her in unanticipated trouble however, so she will have to rely more on her head than her physical power, which is hard when you are filled with fire and blinded with rage. A quick escape has saved her more times then she likes to admit.
Even friends don't escape her fire-y personality, being victems of her witty jokes and sassy remarks. All with good intentions, but can still come across a little too agressive sometimes. Friendly lions mean well for her too, but accidently provoke her at times too. Her agressive reaction can make her come across as paranoid and overly defensive, though she can't help it. She has a 'bad habit' of making everything a competetion, especially among friends. Khari enjoys showing she is the strongest, fastest and smartest lioness, at least she things so. Even after losing she doesn't lose hope and passion, always ready for the next challenge.

History/Story:
Khari was born on a very hot summer's day, with 2 other cubs. She doesn't remember much from the first days of her life, though she remembers the warmth of the sun and her mother's singing voice. Her vision was very faded as she was still a cub, and Khari could not even make out the faces of her siblings and mother. Her mother would come very closely to her so Khari could see her face more clearly, and so comfort her. Though she doesn't want to admit it, she was very frightened during this time. Her lack of decent sight made her feel vulnerable, though her siblings were the same. They didn't seem to be bothered by it, they found enough comfort in eachother and their mother. Kari did too, but not enough. Even as a small cub she felt the need to show her strength and independence. She would often challenge her mother to a play-fight in which she could train herself for upcoming battles. Her mother always agreed with a little smile, while lowering her head and stretching her front paws as to challenge Khari as well. She still had very bad vision, but her ability to still interact with her mother made her feel strong. Her siblings joined in occasionally, but frequently left when they got beaten by her. Not because they hated losing, but because they wanted to practise on eachother before trying again. Khari had soon outgrown her siblings in strength, cunning and maneuvre.
When they began to outgrow their first stage of being a cub, they finally started to develop a better view. Khari couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the details of the world and for the first time, clearly view her mother's face. With her jaw slightly dropped and her eyes wide open she would look at the place she had lived all this time. Wanting to explore this new world, she looked at her mother for approval, who slowly nodded her head with a faint smile. Even as days had passed Khari still hadn't lost her curiousity for the surroundings and she explored further every day. Her mother was never worried as she knew Khari could handle herself, instead she choose to stay with her other cubs to make sure they would as well.
Khari is unsure how she lost her family. She remembers a fight and fear. She remembers a darkness, growls and roars sounding loudly trough the clouded sky. But above all she remembers fire and terror. Her mother screaming and roaring, Khari remembers the sounds but not the words spoken. She remembers the rage and heat that filled her, and her fire that quickly became the anguish that fueled her escape. She remembers running, running away from the darkness and sounds, running and running untill her still small paws couldn't carry her anymore. She remembers the absence of the warm sun, now replaced with a chilling darkness. She remembers pushing her yet to be full grown body against a wall, hoping nobody would see her. She remembers her eyes closing out of weariness, and the darkness once more.
Once she opened her eyes again, the darkness was now longer there. The sun was shining as bright as before, spreading her heat over the land. The beams of light hit her golden fur and filled her body with warmth, but Khari could not enjoy it anymore. The terror and confusion were still with her, as well as the hopeless feeling of being alone. She couldn't remember where she had come from, or how she could get home. If she still had a home. No sight of the plains she once explored, no sign of her mother or siblings, no spark of fire burning within her. She felt burned out, her fire extinguished but most of all, she felt alone.
For days Khari walked around the place she had woken up in, and even more days she spent searching for any sign of her home. She did not find any. She was grateful for the water she had found to drink and cool herself down with, but she wasn't as grateful for the lions she met while traveling. Khari wasn't a full grown lion yet, and these lions didn't seem to have good intentions. She can't remember the exact number but she thinks there were three lions, all male. They had the manes of warriors, an alarming sign for Khari. They talked very sweet to her and slowly started walking around her. Her ears were keen and her eyes flashed from side to side to keep track of all three. The talk didn't fool her, she knew she had to make her escape. Before she had time to plan her escape, two lions dashed at her. Quickly she jumped aside, only to be pounced by the third. He easily outmatched her in size and physical power, crushed under his weight she had nowhere to go. Struggling, growling, biting, clawing, Khari did everything she could to get away. It wasn't enough, the other two lions already came to join the first. The feeling of terror took her over once more accompanied by a strong feeling helplesness. She started struggling harder, roaring loader, clawing her paws around in hopes of hurting her attacker, when suddenly the heat of the sun returned. No, it wasn't the sun, she realised. It was her own heat, now surrounding her as a storm of fire and burning the attackers around her. The screamed and roared in pain, desperately trying to get away from the fire that uncontrollably burned from Khari. With her eyes wide open, she watched the lions run in anguish with their fur catching fire. Quickly she darted away before the lion woudl return for revenge. Again, she wandered.
Khari fought many battles before reaching maturity, and even more after. Never having had a mentor before, her powers solely rely on her anger and desperation. Though she tried very hard, she could never control the fire at will.
While she was wandering the plains, a member of the pride found here and brought her home. Khari now fights as a warrior for the pride
Extras:
Khari talks with a strong accent, comparable with a mix of Russian and Khajiit (from The Elder Scrolls series). She emphasizes the 'k', 'j', 'dz' and 't' sounds in words. Her fur already has a golden color, but will also give a golden glow when in the light of the sun or near fire.
Not sure if I'm finished with this but i may add or change some things later. But i keep the end date in mind! I'll be sure to add the changes before that time
