gender;; female

Thyia's mother always told her that she didn't have the time to wait for someone else to tell her what to do so she might as well get out there and do it herself. This lesson has lingered into adulthood, and Thyia's headstrong personality remains her most defining characteristic. She's the sort that's reluctant to ask for help even when she needs it, who absolutely abhors admitting that she can't do something. Thyia has no time for the failings of her own body and so she keeps herself in excellent shape with daily exercise. She is often forging new paths into unexplored territories and frequently she does it on her own, so she can't very well conquer unseen countries if she gets out of breath after an uphill climb. She's accomplished in battle, skilled with tactics and adept at reading body language, but she's rather reckless in her personal life. She doesn't believe in no win scenarios.
She is incredibly charming and considers this a talent of hers, a weapon to keep sharp. Thyia is not above manipulating someone with her good looks to get what she wants. To keep herself successfully seductive she 'practices' with strange males. She considers it a hobby of hers and takes great pride in her ability to charm. Thyia is most comfortable with other females and believes them to be her equal, as she was raised in an all-female pack led by her own mother. She does struggle with believing males to be of the same quality, and dislikes putting responsibility on a shoulders of any man. Thyia likes finding new places and naming them silly things on her maps because she knows one day people will call them that too. Her personal favorite is The Glen of Bumbershoot Brambles.

hobbies;;cartographyA childhood mentor taught Thyia how to make maps and she's sustained a love for cartography ever since. She has gotten steadily better as she's aged and become more experienced with the tricks of the trade and now she's always got a sheath of parchment on hand to work with. As Thyia is constantly exploring territory no one else has set foot on her ability to make maps is an important one. She frequently copies maps and leaves or trades copies to the packs she encounters as she explores. While many packs can see the usefulness of a map not many have the capacity to make one to scale. Thyia makes time for a yearly trek back to her homeland and her birth pack to deliver whatever new maps she's made, and the pack keeps it with their other accumulated documents. Thyia loves gazing up at the world map they are beginning to construct with her input.
Thyia believes that she has the ability to map out the rest of the world all on her own and she's always so incredibly excited about finding a place she knows no one else has ever seen. Thyia is fearless in the pursuit of further places to map and often tangles with local territorial packs or other aggressive animals. She crushes berries and miscellaneous natural based ingredients to make the 'ink' for the map, and has learned some elite flexibility in her front paws. She has zero ability to manipulate things with her feet, however. If she can't construct a pencil herself she thieves them from humans, and to always make sure she has enough to go around she often stores them in her hair. Thyia frequently buns her hair so it makes a perfect perch for pencils and pens.

adventuringWhile adventuring does go hand in hand with cartography the sheer exhilaration of exploration alone holds a soft spot in Thyia's heart. Even if she foregoes recording her adventures on a map, or if perhaps she's revisiting a spot she has already mapped once before, Thyia still loves just walking, and discovering new little niches, and stopping to watch the behavior of the local animals. There's nothing better than finding some tall tree or standing at the base of a mountain and thinking, I could climb that. And if I did, what would I see? Usually Thyia does climb these things, foisting herself hand over hand until her hair has come unraveled from her efforts and her breath thunders in her chest. Still, the view is always worth it. Never once has Thyia regretted a climb.
She loves mountain ranges in particular, and can spend months in one on her own, even one thoroughly mapped. She just genuinely likes moving through the wilderness and the idea that she is seeing something no one else will ever see (standing alone and watching a bird feed its chicks, perhaps, or watching the path a single dewdrop takes down the spine of a leaf) greatly appeals to her. Thyia is all about seeing something unknown, and recognizing it for herself, even if no one else knows it. She is a big believer in the sanctity of nature. She does not tolerate companionship well and if she has a companion forced on her she requires a couple things from them, one being their silence. To Thyia, there are few things better than stretching out the length of a tree branch and just listening to what nature has to say. Every day it's something different.

enthralling menThyia doesn't really care if this is legitimately a hobby or not. To her, it most certainly is; her flirtations are a weapon to be kept sharp, and an unwitting man is the perfect whetstone. She has spent many a day bettering her most charming lines and then testing them on complete strangers to see how the males respond to her. Afterwards she makes notes and records which pick up lines worked best and which ones didn't work at all. These documents are nestled among her maps, pages of commentary on how to read a male's body language, on how to tell if he's interested from the flick of his ears. Thyia studies males like she studies maps and she finds interest in the intricacies of their behavior. However she rarely follows through on her flirtations; in fact, she is infrequently genuinely interested in a male, as the feelings behind her charming conversations are simple curiosity and not of the romantic kind.
She does draw a line rather consciously between friends and strangers and never flirts with males she considers friends, even if they display behavior that imply they are interested in her. In fact Thyia seems rather blind when it comes to friends being interested in her; she is so focused on beginning her next experiment and using her newest pick up lines on some unsuspecting male that she doesn't cast an eye towards her friends at all. If she was ever asked about this directly probably Thyia would simply say that using a close friend of hers for her man charming hobby would be a variable too big to properly document, and that utilizing strangers is simply easier and more straightforward. More than likely though Thyia recognizes that seeing someone again that she flirted with would be awkward.
