❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀Name:
Hagane ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ Gender:
Male ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀Personality: Hagane is usually pretty wary towards strangers and takes time to warm up to others. But once you get past his tough shell, he is usually a pretty big softie. He's sweet and overprotective, and loves to give advice and help others. Hagane usually travels to villages that are ravaged by disease to help heal them. He loves children, and plays with them often. He has quite a few quirks though. He tends to wander through flower fields, and often gifts others with flowers. He likes the meanings they have, and often gives the ones precious to him flowers that fit them in his point of view. But there is a darker side to him, his protectiveness can get the better of him, and he can get in a lot of fights. Hagane will go to hell and back to protect those he loves and keep them safe. If it means becoming a monster... he will do it.

"Once apoun a time, in an ancient land, long ago, lived a young Kalon named Daichi in a village with his family. Daichi was a noble and lived in happiness and was very comfortable and almost never left his home. So much, in fact, he barely knew any of the worlds troubles! For his father had been told by a seer that if Daichi never left home he would grow up to be a powerful ruler, if he discovered the worlds outside troubles, he would be an powerful rogue warrior. As much as Daichi's father liked guards, his first son would be a noble. So he kept little Daichi at home all the time, and never let him out or hear of the worlds troubles. Daichi hated this with a passion! He could not understand why his father did this to him, and was very upset about it. So one day, when a hole appeared in the fence surrounding his home, he snuck out into the village. He discovered that the village surrounding his home was full of the poor and less fortunate, with famine and disease running wild. He was appalled at this, and decided to help the villagers around his home in secret. He would sneak in and out of his home every night with food, water, money, and clothes and give it to the villagers to use.

"Some time past, and a young girl would always sort things and taught Daichi how to heal and use the things he brought properly. Him and the girl eventually fell in love, even if it was doomed to her being in a lower class with no land, money, or warriors to her name. She was beautiful, both on the inside and out. Daichi was completely enamored by her, as was she. But, tragedy struck them. Daichi's father had found out what he was doing and was very angry! He called his son up to him at once! His son entered the main room, his father sitting in his seat very angrily. He said 'Daichi, do you know what you have done!?' Daichi cowered and said, 'no, no father, what have I done?' His father scowled and said 'you have taken our food, money, clothing, water, everything! You use it apoun the lower class, trying to help them. Don't you know that there will always be more to replace them? No matter how many you help, more will keep coming! You have also disobeyed me and gone outside!' Daichi bowed low and said 'forgive me father, if I did not know these were the consequences of my actions and make you upset father, I would not have done it.' Daichi's father only scowled more 'I heard you have fallen in love as well...' Daichi gasped with recoil and said 'no, no father I have not!' His father only replied 'It is to late, you are no longer my son. Since that girl was so pretty, you must have fallen for her due to her looks. Your eyes shall be payment.' and Daichi was cursed with blindness and thrown out of home!

❀ ❀ ❀ "But the locals took pity on him for all he had done, even if he was a noble. They tought him how to fight and heal, to wield a sword and defend, to see without seeing. Daichi was given a new name, Hagane. For he was like steel, he may have broken once, but he could be remolded into something better and stronger than before. The young girl had given Hagane forget-me-nots, and they reunited once again. Hagane and the young girl continued to love each other, and they decided to get married and settle down together on the outskirts of the village. The village rejoiced at this, happy for them, and the news spread very quickly. They decided to marry in a field of forget-me-nots, with the whole village invited. But, it was not meant to be. Hagane's father had heard of this and was outraged. His own son was a disgrace! To live in that village, to marry like this?! His son would not find happiness. On the day of the wedding, it was ambushed by Hagane's father and his soldiers, and the wedding was in ruins. Hagane and his wife-to-be fled, but it was for not. A soldier and mage had followed them, and the soldier tried to strike his bride down. Hagane took the blow for her instead.

❀ ❀ ❀ "As Hagane lay bleeding, the girl begged the mage to heal him. The soldier did not want his to happen and protested, but the mage agreed if the girl would come with him and work in his home and become his servant. She agreed, and Hagane was healed, but the mage had to have a power source. He took the energy of the surrounding forget-me-nots, and used it on Hagane. His marking changes to become one with the energy of the forget-me-nots, and his mark that was of bone became a flower. The soldier scoffed at this show of love and healing, but decided if the girl was that willing to give herself up for Hagane, he was worthy of a sword. Hagane was gifted a sword, the power to heal, and to fight. The soldier said he would cover for Hagane on behalf of his wife, and that he must flee. Hagane did so with grief and regret, and became a traveler and healer to all..."
