Companion: Meeks, the Pallas's Cat. || Meeks and Anzu were not always the best of friends they are today; their relationship started out as a troubled and aggressive one, a constant struggle for dominance. When first they met it was during a typical leisure outing along a forest trail that had become quite the common activity for the red mare, when her attention was captured by a scrappy feline the likes of which Anzu had never seen before. This creature was nothing like the barn cats back home, and as it darted out in the way of the trail spitting, and with paws flying, Anzu felt she had to answer the challenge. Heavy front hooves stomped against the damp earth as nostrils flared with a snort, she stared down her opponent until forced to turn back by her rider. But the intrigue was there, on both ends, and driven by curiosity the pair often found themselves entertaining cold staring matches through the paddock fence; though, with each passing day, the space between them seemed to all but disappear. Their icy stares became inquisitive ones, and though neither could really tell you when exactly it happened, all that animosity seemed to disappear as well. It is rare to find Anzu without her beloved partner in crime hanging around somewhere nearby, even if most just see Meeks as another angry barn cat.
