Carl is, in one word, spirited. He's always looking to cause innocent trouble and enjoy himself, and make others laugh and relax as well. He's a bit oblivious at times, but has a sweet, if over excitable temperament, and many enjoy his company despite the fact he can, on some odd occasions, become a tad annoying.

He loves to give and receive praise, and his chief fault is that, upon loosing something, he can be rather a sore looser about it, and becomes irritable. He all too quickly becomes attached to things, from people to objects, and is easily made jealous. However, as he's, as mentioned before, oblivious and kiddishly innocent, he usually quickly forgives and forgets any wrongs. Upon first meeting others he trusts them all too quickly, and can be easily deceived. He has little to no understanding of sarcasm either.

However, he's beginning to feel others still treat him as a kid, and, despite his overall childish ways, he's smart in most of his studies and yearns to be respected and seen as a "responsible adult". He goes through times when he seeks out praise desperately and shows himself off to be better at things than he is, which can cause overall awkwardness when he is proved wrong. This can be discouraging to him, and he wavers at times from being overly enthusiastic to hateful and uninspired.

He loves to give gifts and see delight in others, and ice cream is one of his biggest comfort foods.

Calvin, A Friend
Carl met Calvin through his childhood friend Jemima, and the two easily got along, despite Calvin's reluctance around strangers. However, as Jemima seemed very close to Carl, and Carl was always trying his best to act cheerful, positive and friendly, Calvin got over his fear of him being a stranger and they become good friends. While they cannot be considered "best friends", they both like to spend time with Jemima and often go on a trio of adventures together. However, in the back of both they're minds, it is possible they are a bit jealous of each other for both being Jemima's "best friend" from different times of her life. Nothing has come of it yet, thankfully, however.

Jemima, Childhood Friend
Jemima and Carl lived nearby each other as kids, and, although Carl was from a rich family, and Jemima from a poorer family originating from the countryside, the two met while exploring the woods near their house, and soon they made a fast friendship as young kalons. However, Jemima eventually moved back to her country town, and they suffered a long separation. However, when Carl was old enough to travel alone, he met Jemima again after years of not seeing her, and the two instantly hit it off once again and continued their devoted friendship from where they left off.

Quentin, His Brother
Carl and Quentin are brothers, although, this always shocks others. They look very different from each other, and it's a bit hard to believe they are related. All the same, they are brothers. As kids they were close, and as they grew older they began to become a bit more distant. Of course they still care about each other, but often they find themselves having little arguments when they meet up, and in many occasions they prefer to avoid each other. However, they still frequently write to or visit each other. Quentin's one of Carl's only relatives who actively seems concerned about his well being, and, despite they're differences, they are somewhat similar in many respects. Carl, in turn, has also helped Quentin through some of his "dark moods", and through some other sad times in their history. Thus, if there is anyone Carl trusts, it is Quentin, and vice versa.

Tom is usually quite grumpy but his mood always improves when something shiny is involved. Tom likes to keep a lot of the things he finds for himself if he finds them especially valuable. He also likes to boast and show off his new findings even if they aren't that impressive. His dream is to own a shop of his own one day where he sells odds and ends that he's found.
