Does Their Color Affect Them?:
Most breeders would agree, a cryptic merle is not an outcome you'd want. In fact, many regard it as a failure, even trash, much like a double merle. It's an eyesore for the majority of people and breeders and nothing worth. They get treated roughly and harshly, if not even disposed off at a young age. However, there are humans that are especially interested in them because of their coat color. Wanting them for breeding or as a royal and rare collection. Then there are people that simply are unbiased and like the dog for who it is. Though, it is certain that most often, they are undesired and have a hard life.
Cadis, for his part, yearns for a normal life and wants to protect those which want the same thing. Make sure they have what he can't have. He is willing to forgive foes who have attempted to worsen his life, but he will punish them for harming those he sweared to protect. Cadis secretly loves the company of fond dogs he meets around the Arabian deserts. He can never bear to see them injured.
Personality?:
Cadis has a stoic and regal demeanor and he inspires awe and respect from friends and foes. This relates to his fur color and a good deal of raw power, which is both a blessing and a burden for him. The duty of bearing the responsibility of such a coat is what causes him to act reclusive and seemingly apathetic. However, Cadis's composure is sometimes broken by his perplexity and
ineptitude when it comes to understanding social behavior of other dogs or the unknown feeling of affection. Though even when he is truly distressed, Cadis has the same dutiful and unfazed countenance.
Upbringing?:
Cadis was the first born pup out of 4. In fact, he was quite big for a newborn, his siblings a good amount smaller in size. His owner, a young adult girl, was a kinda new but determined merle Al-Hissan breeder. Her older brother who payed her a visit, figured his coloring, a nerd about genetics. He frowned, knowing a coat like this could bring problems with it. They didn't mind though, they liked the cryptic boy.
Cadis, Arabic for "Judge" and his siblings were steadily growing, healthy young pups. Despite this, his behavior was quite unique yet strange. He was always alone while the others wrestled and chased each other. They didn't include him, it highly seemed like he choose to not take part, excluding himself. With time the litter's personalities grew vibrant. It became apparent that Cadis siblings acted extremely respectful, gentle and sometimes even hesitant around/with him. Though, if aggression was ever displayed against the first-born, it was always on a highly polite level.
Every time the young dogs went out into the yard, Cadis stayed behind. Merely watching his siblings fool around through the wide window of the house. He was content with just that. In fact, all he needed to feel happy, simply watching the nature, other dogs or humans. Upon being forced to go outside, the male did not react different than how he would inside. Cadis was a dog of few barks, socializing was certainly not a strong point of his.
It was time, the Hissans were ready to be adopted, though Cadis was the only one left, none was interested in him. Until a shady Sheikh came. The woman declined his offer with courtesy. Not long after, she died by unknown reasons. The older brother decided to take ownership of Cadis. The remain his deceased sister loved so much.
