personality: Misery isn't notorious for being a particularly vibrant spirit. He's just as grey as his coat, but with less shimmer. He was more bright as a foal, but like an old coin, he lost his luster as he aged. He's not aggressive, and he's not overly serious. He's just...Static. You can honestly, justifiably believe that he's depressed. However he will insist that he's not if you ask. Despite his lack of of a sunny disposition, he's a smart boy. He has his beliefs and values, and he sticks to them. Misery also isn't too hesitant about telling others why they're wrong, and living with his half sister, Desdemona, means he does this a lot on a daily basis.

Personality:

Scarlette is quite a unique mare. Everyone sees her as a very charming and beautiful mare. However, that was Scarlette's outer shell. Deep down, she's just a shy and gentle mare who loves to just hang out with a bunch of her close friends. Only those close to her can see that shy side of her. In front of stallions, she can be a bit sheepish and awkward but they find her even more adorable that way. When Scarlette is upset, she can be your worst nightmare. She's the type who can be blinded by rage and let her emotions overtake her - a storm that knows no boundaries. Scarlette can only be calmed down through soothing sounds and even then, she might not be completely calmed.
Analytical
Scarlette very much prefers to sit and observe before accessing a situation rather than jumping head first. Sure she's a curious one and would love to find out more but she would always think it through carefully before a final decision. This is something about her that is well-liked among the others, family and other horses.
Sensitive
She is very sensitive when it comes to sensing feelings of her close ones. Whenever they are happy or sad, he knows it. Even if they put on a mask, she can still see through and will eventually find out what's bugging them and will try to comfort or resolve it.
Quick-witted
Scarlette can think through her thoughts quickly and give fairly accurate results. She has since used this to help many horses and herself in situations like conflicts among the herd. This trait has led to her being dubbed as the peacemaker of the herd.
Competitive
This trait is definitely one that very few knows of as Scarlette prefers to keep this hidden. Whenever she's in a race be it for fun or competition, she is always determined to win. She's a changed mare when on the track, turning from a sweet mare into one that boasts a powerful aura with determination in her eyes and the determination to win. However, she shows good sportsmanship and won't let her emotions or hunger to win get the better of her.

Clockwork Magic // Athlai

Athlai is an altruistic stallion, has lots of leadership, very courageous but can be very competitive. He aspires to have his own herd one day and is determined to achieve it. He is honest and trustworthy but once the trust is broken, he will not hesitate to get you out of his life. Athlai can be a bit emotional at times, letting some of his anger slip out of his control, get too hyper or just cry out.

Both Athlai and Scarlette are what others always say; two peas in a pod. Athlai is always there for Scarlette and Scarlette is always there for Athlai. When Scarlette becomes too emotional and lost in her thoughts, Athlai is there to snap her out of it and help her work out her thoughts. When Athlai gets a bit too emotional, Scarlette is always there to lend a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on or just be there for him.
Both of them are the stable's jockey horses, along with a few more but these two are the biggest rivals. Everytime one goes comes back from a competition, they would chat about their timings, rant about what went on, who they met and so on. Despite both being jockey competitors, they have never been in the same race so one day, they decided to make their own. The fence of the paddock was to keep wolves and other animals from entering but there is a small flaw in one of the fence where there is a dip, making it jumpable but the horses just don't bother or is fearful of wild animals. It was a busy day and all the stable-hands were working in the barn. Athlai and Scarlette quickly jumped the fence and headed to the nearby tree. They discussed and refreshed the route they made once more and with the help of a third-party horse, the race was on. Both horses were neck-to-neck. Athlai was bigger and bulkier in size being a draft horse but still manage to be on par with Scarlette. They took a big round around the entire plot of land and as they saw their finishing line, which was the apple tree, both gave it their all and finished the race. Let's just say that Scarlette couldn't wipe that smirk off her face for an entire week.
Ideal mate:
Scarlette isn't one to go for looks, just someone who can love her for her would be more than sufficient. However, her most ideal type of horse would be someone who can tame her, know her at the back of their mind and can help tame her when she's upset. She would love someone who is outgoing and a little more extroverted. Scarlette would love someone who's also competitive so they could race each other.
Quirk:
Somewhere along the years, Scarlette has grown a quirk of tapping her hooves when it's too quiet. She appreciates silence but when it's too overwhelming, she will unconsciously start tapping her hooves.

menphina, despite the carnivorous connotations surrounding her skull-like facial markings, is aptly named after the goddess of love and the keeper of the moon. she is an oblivious and accidental cult-leader, her followers calling themselves the miqo'te. in actuality, menphina loves everyone and 'miqo'te' is the pet name that she uses towards them. she loves that 'for some reason' she is often surrounded by company - she is an extremely anxious and flighty horse otherwise. it's the reason that she requires one of her miqo'te to follow her to halter classes, otherwise she is unfit for presentation. any kind of work seems to cause her to breathe heavily and heighten her anxiety and when she is anxious it throws her followers into disarray; "what could cause the keeper to act so concerned?". the humans have noticed that menphina's emotions affect those around her - they could never guess of her cult-leadership, though - and try to keep her as calm as possible for the sake of their precious silver mare and their other horses.

menphina is sometimes referred to as 'the silver wolf' for her love of the moon and the fang markings either side of her maw - 'wolf' couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to this mare, unless you're talking about a lamb in wolf's clothing. she is a soft beam of moonlight that has dutifully learnt all about the different constellations and their lore. she happily passes on her knowledge to others, accidentally building a religion surrounding the moon and it's phases. in the warmer months she is let out during the night, as the humans have noticed that allowing her to bathe in the moonlight greatly improves her disposition. towards them she is polite but not entirely fond of them in general. the most affectionate she will be towards the 'two-leggeds' is a contented 'whuff' after being offered a carrot.

bree examined the mare's papers slowly, tracing along the silver mare's lineage with her finger. "what do you think?" came a warm voice from behind, a hand resting gently upon her shoulder. bree leaned back against the welcomed presence of her boyfriend, a smile coming to her lips and a light dancing within her eyes. "well, her owners told me that she's not the best around people and she isn't fit for being worked," she said, trying to will herself into reality - she was always carried away by her emotions and her eighty-strong herd was a great example of it. "but," she said, her voice now matching her smile, "she's gorgeous, her parents are gorgeous, and her lines trace back to our valkyrie's brother - not to mention she's apparently great with other horses". bree's mind was whirling with dreams of showing the mare in halter classes, pasturing her with their insecure or difficult horses and maybe even one day breeding her and introducing those unique, monster-like markings of hers into their lines. "she sounds like a dream," david sighed, but he wasn't quite the dreamer his girlfriend was, "but can we really afford her.. i mean lineage like that doesn't come cheap, you know this". he wrapped his arms around her and rested his head on her shoulder, his own chocolate-brown eyes now scanning the papers wishfully. bree leant her head affectionately against his and sighed but she wasn't beaten yet. "we could always work out a deal with the owners, we have some great bloodstock," she smiled brighter as the idea came to her, the deal already done in her mind. she wasn't against using their stable's reputation to secure a deal. "okay," david smiled, giving his girlfriend a squeeze, "i would like to see how she goes with faette - i know she hasn't been successfully bred yet but if it works that'd be one heck of a foal". bloodlines, quality and colour. perfect. bree gave her boyfriend a quick, delighted kiss on the cheek and squealed, looking excitedly at the mare's papers, "welcome to invergowrie, beautiful!"

INV faette but they may eventually be interested in a polyamorous relationship 8D i think it would be really interesting if there were 'ranks' among her followers - established by the followers themselves and not menphina, of course [as she's oblivious as anything]. faette would be given a special rank among the miqo'te as menphina gives her an affectionate pet name and everyone misinterprets it!
