The pelt also works as a identifier of his tribe. In Shale's pack he keeps everything needed between the regions and items of his family. He often doesn't see them as tradition calls for when children come of age they must leave the family for 3 seasons to prove they can live and survive in the harsh land.

Mosco was quite hopeful to get into college, he may have flunked the end of his high school exams but he had done well throughout the year before that. He had one college he really wanted to get into and well, he needed to get a portfolio of his photography. He was real passionate about scenery in specific, and living by the mountains when he got the chance to go on a mountain exploration he wasn't going to turn it down, lots of exploration and they'd wait for him when he needed to take a picture.

Although he had high hopes for the expedition it turned into a much more horrifc experience, an incident occurred and well, the mountain fell away, Mosco and another older man were unable to find anyone but eachother, none of the other five were found. He couldn't bare wearing his old gear after that, to many memories, so he had to buy it new, start it fresh, soon he would be living in the south and he'd bury himself in schooling to cover for his pain.

Explanation: The middle of nowhere is cold, and dark for half of the year. The middle of nowhere is located only a few hundred miles off of the rocky archipelago-like mass that is the coast of northern Norway, and is named Mørkland. Never heard of it? That's alright, Knut probably wouldn't if he hadn't been born there.
Knut lived in this remote island community until the age of seventeen when he hitched a ride on a local boat, or rather the local boat, there was only one, which took him to Tromso.
The scarf and satchel Knut won't be seen without are parting gifts from his mother. The scarf isn't a real bear skin, nor is the satchel a family heirloom from his great-grandfather. No, his mother bought them at the store, there's only one. The scarf was made in China, shipped by plane to Oslo then ferried to Mørkland. The satchel, also, was made in China, flown to the U.K. And then ferried to Mørkland.
After Knut arrived in Tromso he took a plane. Where did he go? Well he certainly went somewhere, in fact he went everywhere.

ϵxϼlαͷαϯῖϴͷ // suede's entire family has always carried on a buisness since the olden times: an ice trading buisness. just as the buisness has been inherited throughout the years, so has this outfit. the very clothes you're looking at right now- those were custom tailored over 150 years ago (don't worry, they're washed weekly.) the clothes are meant to protect the wearer from slipping or getting frostbite in the freezing mountian path. inside the bag, there's an ice pick, an extra pair of noots, and a thermos. the scarf has built in gloves, to protect suede's paws from blistering from cutting the ice, and to shield from possible sunburn or frostbite.
the outfit also helps define suede from the mountain backdrop. without it, people might not be able to see him in a blizzard, due to his dark colors. so, he wears the clothes in the same way a biker would wear flourescent tape at night.

Merrion is a world-renound traveler, and never stays in a single area. This being said, he carries his pouch for the necessities he needs. It often carries a flask and food supplies, and small mementos from family and friends. He carries other accessories for warmth in the colder areas he visits.
The mementos he carries from the important people in his life are two photos and a small Rubix cube. The Rubix cube is from his father when he was just the age of ten, and Merrion will solve it when bored to pass time, since he has since learned how to solve it in several different ways. The two photos are from a family event when Merrion was young, and the other has his him and several other friends when they traveled to a beach in Peru last June. They are reminders for him to come back and visit, and for traveling not to be the most required thing in his life.
