Rainy Day Story :: Raindrops pitter-pattered on the cement outside. The rain started growing stronger and stronger, until the raindrops could be seen like watery comets shooting out of the sky and crashing onto the roofs, sidewalks, and plants. Nan's ears perked up. "Rain?" he whispered. "It's been a month since we've had rain!" He took his umbrella and ran outside.
The drops soaked his fur, but he paid no attention and started grinning. Nan didn't even open his umbrella, he didn't need to. He enjoyed the rain as it was, even if it was cold and it made his fur wet and soggy. A month without rain! There was a need for celebration here! Nan whooped as he bounded around on the wet sidewalk. The trees seemed to dance with him as well. The birds, well in their hiding place, chirped a few words of concern, but began singing again. A rainy day is a time for celebration, not for staying indoors.
