Instead of listening for danger, she'll smell or look for it. If she sees any rustling in the undergrowth, she'll freeze and wait to see if she should run. If she's trying to find something to eat, instead of asking around for help, she'll get the grub herself by sniffing it out. Because of these things, she has excellent eyesight and slightly higher scenting skills than the average vaiki. Her tactile senses are also much higher than the average vaiki's, as she can tell if something is edible by just touching it. If she's trying to figure out if what she's looking at is a berry or a small rock, she'll pick it up and toss it a few times, judging the weight and texture of the item until she's content with her decision to eat or not to eat it. Very resourceful and not easily distracted, Danika is focused and can get work done pretty quickly. Not having hearing has its advantages, after all - you quite literally cannot hear all those who would put you down for doing what you love.

Mars is petrified of sewer grates and manholes, the things used to drain water from rain and prevent flooding, or more so decrease the risk,simply terrify him, but it's not a fear of being around them or seeing them, it's whenever Mars is standing withing two feet of one or on top he becomes nervous and afraid that it'll open up and he'll fall underground. This fear often has him jumping over such things or running past them as quickly as he can which he's made a game up about it.

1 fact about them; Tuq has phenomenal endurance in cold temperatures. It was raised in the upper, undeveloped regions of Alaska in the arctic circle. It was hatched and raised by the local natives who taught it how to hunt and fish, but they soon discovered that the furry critter didn't need to stay inside, and could somehow spend hours or even days out getting food and exploring during the dark winter months. The resistance to cold extends beyond dry, snowy land. Tuq can spend hours swimming to gather shellfish off the coast without getting hypothermic or going into shock. It's revered among its family for both its markings and its 'control' over the cold.

He has the umbrella with him at all times, and during the day, whenever possible, he'll have it open and propped above his head, though only when outdoors. He claims that it makes him feel safer, and he won't leave the house without it. He can get defensive of the object if someone disapproves of it, or argues of its use to him.

As a young and bored Vaiki, he began to carve pictures into the ice. As he grew in skill he began to shape the ice into figures. He is great at making magnificent ice sculptures. Boris loves to sculpt and never intends to stop.
