shake me like a hollow bone
surrounded by light here i sit
wondering where it went amiss
looking down on me with shallow souls

i often think i'm worthless now

Personality: lydia is an outgoing mare. small and energetic, she has a habit of darting around between patches of sunlight and shadow. despite being especially friendly with the vast majority of those she lives with, due to her petite size she usually goes unnoticed among larger, stronger horses. since she's always so under the radar, pangs of loneliness sometimes draw her within herself until someone kind manages to draw her out again. many times she's left behind by the herd, unable to keep up or jostled out by the others. while she may be left behind, she stays with others that are left behind with her. lydia stays with the foals who are too frail or clumsy to gallop with their mothers, acting as a gentle but energetic babysitter who encourages even the most closed off of foals to frolic and play with others. she has a magic touch with the small and rejected, bringing them into warmth and acceptance. those like herself are easily drawn to the brilliant little mare, who is like a candle among moths. though lydia tries to be gentle all the time, sometimes she can say hurtful things or accidentally step on another tolter. in a situation like this, lydia quickly becomes flustered and defensive before running off, usually without apologizing. after a bit, she does always return with tearful, desperate apologies and pleas for forgiveness.
