Name Meaning; . Majik was my first cat ever,I got him in the 2nd grade,hence the poor spelling of magic. He was all black with a white spot on his foot and his belly. He was shy but loved to lay at the foot of my bed or snuggle with me when I would read. We moved and he got out. I cried for days. I have a whisker and a picture. We had day old foster kittens,their mom got hit by a car, Carmel died as I was singing him you'll be in my heart at a week old. We foster many animals and each has a peice of your heart. It's the Price you Gotta pay to love. You take them at their lowest moments and poor love on them,then trust they go to a good home. Each leaves you with a little memory. Some leave and you cry for days. Strap and your boots and get on with life,you can't let it stop. We lost one pup due to water on his brain. My heart couldn't love,until we fostered again. Each time you say,never again,but you do it anyways. The price of love is worth more then any heart ache or any gold. It gets you through the good and the bad. My hamster got hurt and lost a leg. It was 2 days before a vet. He layed in my slipper and I dropped fed him every 4 hours. Every life has meaning. My old coon was dropped on the side of the road for simply being to old. 3 years later he's still living. He would lay on his dog box with me and look at the stars. I named him,he was my first dog. I was tickled pink. He protected me if anyone would come by me. To think he would have been shot or hit,makes me love him even more. I would die just to hear him howl again. Deep and like a bell. I know soon he'll leave me and go to the promised hunting lands were he can be young again, it will be hard but he's given me so much. He was an unofficial Easter present. The day I arrived in West Virginia my second time,this time just myself was staying with my godmother. They said "found a dog,we don't know how he is with kids,he's been roaming around the last few days and no ones claiming". Well he ran right up to me and gave me slobbery kisses. I named him Lou from cats and dogs. His nickname is old man. I bought him a line green collar. My papa died during that summer,I remember pretending not to find out and just going and sitting with louie No human could have given me what I needed,some time to just feel loved and listened to. His big brown eyes told stories for miles. He knew before I could speak. He would bark so me and sit and shake my hand. I was so proud I had a "hunting dog" even if those days were long gone. He sat through go pink nails and berets. He's 3 states away and due to unfortunate circumstances I've got one year until I can see him again. I just pray he makes it. Hopefully they will serve him scrambled eggs and Hardys fries. I used to imagine his younger years, how many coons he got,did he ever hunt bear,what was his "real" name. Missy was a pup all of 5 weeks old. Sitting in the horse feild. Hungry and full of worms. Don't name her and we aren't keeping her turned into the best guard dog money can't buy. Beasley was a horse born with a hernia,they were gonna shoot him at 2 weeks old,well I'm pleased to say it's fixed and he's an excellent trial and dressage horse for a light rider. 5 anoles that we're gonna be dumped are now pets that love belly rubs. You learn to let go and how to put someone else's needs before yours. They depend on you. Love doesn't always happen at first,it can't be controlled. Love envelops you. I'll take all my heartbreakes over again,if I can live the joy and love again.i could tell you so many more stories. When you don't love yourself a pet will. I wish Animals could talk. The love given is unconditional and sustains you. You put one ounce of love you get three back. It's really a simple mathematical equation. Love heals. When no one else sees, an animal will and even give you a few little 'kisses' to dry your eyes and say it's gonna be alright.
