Mordecai is the textbook definition of a hard worker. He worked to get where he is now, and it shows. He takes great pride in his job as a Physician, and it's represented in his work. Although he isn't a man of many words, he's observant and has learned to pick up on many things one might overlook. In the mountains he enjoys the quiet, but is more than ready to take up travelling to take care of patients. As intimidating as he may come across as, stoic and quiet, he really cares for those he takes care of. He wouldn't be doing it if he didn't care, no matter how good the pay, which reflects from something he often says "Why live your life doing a job you hate?" Even if it doesn't show on his face, he's more than happy being able to take care of those above him in a way that he seems fit, and in a way he can enjoy, knowing that often times he's the deciding factor of life and death for some with his treatments.

Once you can get him to talk, people often find Mordecai a pleasant person to be around. He's patient with people, especially children. Honesty is something he holds high, and it shows, leaving him a trustworthy person to turn to to whatever you might need.In any job he takes on, his ambitions show through, and no matter the job, he strives to do the best he can, making him dependable in his work.

Mordecai can come off as intimidating. He's touchy with criticism, and although he won't argue, he certainly won't be pleased if you hurt his pride. He's stubborn and set in his ways, making little change unless he's convinced it'll for certain give a better outcome. With that however, he frets and worries about everything, from the big things that would worry anyone, to speculating the impossible. It makes him mistrusting of people, and it's hard to get him to open up at all, and even longer to earn his trust. In anything he does, he's picky. everything has to be right and neat, and if it isn't it'll bug him until it is. it annoys some people, but to him it's a must do.

Personality: Marilla's a kind person at heart - generous, forgiving, and gentle. Beyond that, however, her morals are somewhat fuzzy. personality: Keenai is a quiet young man who can't seem to express himself properly. He isn't around people too much, that is unless he's doing research or treating someone. He isn't very social and often finds himself pushing others away, though he doesn't normally mean to. He can be a little cold and perhaps even blunt. Because of his explosive attitude as a child, he's normally very reserved and can even be a little timid. While he may seem to be more on the serious side, he can be a little playful at times, cracking tiny jokes and the like. That's more so around those who are close to him, considering he's normally more geared towards being alone. Through lessons from his mother, and the passing of his father, Keenai has actually become very ambitious. He works hard to learn more and become better, and doesn't believe on giving up on someone until it's truly over.
a bit of backstory: Keenai was quite the handful when he was younger, mainly because he didn't like living in Lindrick (and actually still doesn't). He was never fond of the cold and always pouted and whined when he had to go out. He was more accustomed to where they used to live, where it wasn't so cold or mountainous. That was especially because where he used to live had the most beautiful flowers, only a few of which he was able to take and salvage in little flower pots. He never really liked the other Jaupies his age, all they ever wanted to do was play with magic outside, or simple play in the snow when it snowed. He never understood the appeal of snow, but he always guessed that it was because they were all used to it. His small family made their way to Lindrick when he was very young, probably around six or seven. They had come to Lindrick to research a sickness that had been plaguing the Jaupies of the cold kingdom. His parents spent most of their days out to research, while he seemed to be more fond of staying inside, often looking at little notes and the like that his parents had taken. As a matter of fact, it became a bit of a hobby for him. He became invested in this world of medicine through pure boredom and curiosity.
Soon he began to ask questions, and his mother, who seemed to know a bit more about it than his father, started to teach him a little. Through his growing interests in treating people, he began to go out with his parents on their trips to study. As time went on, they had begun to find a cure for the sickness, but before they could his father became greatly ill with it. Because of this, Keenai couldn't be around his father or his mother, mainly because she was busy trying to cure him. From what they had gathered, it was highly contagious as well, so all Keenai could do was wait. It was a pyrrhic victory for him, to say the least. While his mother found a cure, his father had died before it could fully take affect. With a heavy heart, his mother set out to help the rest of Lindrick who had been infected, leaving Keenai alone with his thoughts. That's when he made up his mind: he wanted to help people just like his parents.
As time went on and he grew, he began to study more and more, traveling across Lindrick to research different plants in the area, diseases and the like, and just to get used to the place. His mother has long since made her way to a distant land, though the two still communicate with each other. The robes that he wears now were once his father's, and sometimes, he feels like it helps him on his journey to helps those who need it. To most, he's just a traveling young man learning to be a physician, but to those who know him, he's a silent healer.
