    username;; aussie,
    name;; maź, meaning 'goo' in polish
    why did you choose this name?; because i thought hard about the green goo on his fur, and then i was like; perfect.
    gender;; male
    mythological creature;; vampire. a vampire is a being from folklore who subsists by feeding on the life essence (generally in the form of blood) of living creatures. undead beings, vampires often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighbourhoods they inhabited when they were alive. They wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from today's gaunt, pale vampire which dates from the early 19th century. Although vampiric entities have been recorded in most cultures, the term vampire was not popularized in the west until the early 18th century, after an influx of vampire superstition into western europe from areas where vampire legends were frequent, such as the balkans and eastern europe, although local variants were also known by different names, such as shtriga in albania, vrykolakas in greece and strigoi in romania. This increased level of vampire superstition in europe led to what can only be called mass hysteria and in some cases resulted in corpses actually being staked and people being accused of vampirism.

Username;;kh.vanitas
Name;;Shiki
Gender;;Male
Mythological creature;; The idea of a Kappa fascinates him. Kappa are typically referred to as a yokai in Japanese culture. A yokai typically makes a deal with a god, and becomes what may be defined as a servant through a special contract.
They are also referred to as kawataro or wappa, which are variants of the word 'child'.
Shiki often wonders if these are real, maybe there are just children, who serve gods under a contract, or are they just children in general?
Shiki will often research odd and rare mythical creatures. He stumbled upon the kappa when he was researching one night. kappa fully means and refers to a "river child" The shiny, reptilian skin flowing across it adds an awe factor. The Small, childlike size may seen odd.
The kappa is also know to be blamed for drowning, which caught shiki's eye. why would they be blamed? maybe it is because they are know to be mischievous, and they are known to prank others, much like shiki.
shiki can relate to them someone in the pranks, but nothing else, shiki hates water, but loves anything that may be related to a reptile.
According to how shiki thinks through things, a kappa may have actually been a child before they turned from drowning in salt water. This is the only thing he can thing of, besides a mutated fish. he wants to know the origins and how these 'children' came to be know as kappa.
did they originate in a river or sea? who originally saw them?
questions will barrel through his head whenever he sees an article or finds books about them. do they truly work for the gods? or are they too mischievous to?
Are they truly children? what are these creatures that seems to only revolve around intuition and possibly messed up vision?

Name;; Hyverin
Gender;; Male
Mythological creature;; Padfoot
Hailing from England, Padfoot is said to be a huge black dog that can shape-shift into other forms, such as a black sheep with burning eyes or a giant black donkey. It has the ability to become invisible, and those who do see it should take it as a death omen, if they don't die from the sight of it.

I love the legend of Padfoot so much because it is a beast that can kill you without touching you! Not to mention that I love that it can shapeshift! I always have wanted to meet Padfoot, although I am not fond of the idea at the same time.

Username;; Chibi~Predator
Name;; Altsoba
Gender;; female
Mythological creature;; The Wendigo. Altsoba has a fascination with the brutal creature due to all of the terror and history behind it. Stories of the cannibalistic spirit were taught to scare young tribe members to follow certain rules (AKA don't eat your tribe mates) and to teach about the evils of greed and excess, as the evil creature is never satisfied no matter how much it eats. She thinks stories of the wendigo are under appreciated in modern times, and, being a horror movie and game fan, she'd love to see more of it in media. It's not just the mythology behind the Wendigo, but the fact that it inspired the name of a real medical state known as Wendigo Psychosis, which has been reported only a few times in history. She loves the variation in stories of the wendigo, and all of the possibilities for how it could look. From a deer man to a human, tall and emaciated, to a spirit that roams to capture wanderers that don't take enough care in the woods. The idea of creature that grows in proportion to its meal each time it eats, leaving it constantly hungry, is fascinating and she can't help but wonder how an area would be left in a normal state despite the constant eating of the vicious spirit. While Alt has found amazement in the mystical side of the wendigo, the scientific ideas that race through her head when she thinks of it can't help but capture her attention. She often thinks about if the wendigos were possibly real, how they would behave, how they would hunt, or how they would fight with each other. Since a common description of a wendigo is a manlike beast, with a head like a stag, she feels they could possibly behave like deer, fighting with antlers. Alt often goes into the woods around her house, hiking and camping for days while searching for some sign of the beast. Her slight obsession with the creature has resulted in her writing journal after journal, filling them with stories and 'facts' about the spirits.

Username;; Space Shiba
Name;; Jen
Gender;; Female
Mythological creature;; She is defiantly in love with the phoenix. She has only one reason why she loves them, well actually she has multiple reasons. One of them is how they are able to be simply reborn or in some cultures immortal. She loves the idea of being reborn from your ashes and it makes her think that everyone can be reborn from their ashes, even her. Another reason is how they look and she thinks they look majestic. She likes to compare how she looks to a phoenix because she thinks one reason why they are so powerful is because of how they look. She loves how the phoenix is in so many culture's, mythology, and religion. She thinks that's why the phoenix gets a lot of attention. But one of the biggest reasons is how they help her self confidence. When she feels likes she can do nothing, which is sadly a lot, she thinks about the phoenix and regains most of her confidence while thinking about the bird. She also thinks they would be nice pets if you can keep them in control.

Black Eyed People, Siren always thought that black eyed people were creepy. He always would think they would take his soul. He heard about them when he was a little pup. He remembers when he was watching some weird documentary, it was around 12:45 on Halloween night. The documentary showed zombies,the Kraken, and other silly creatures. But his heart started racing the minute he saw the black eyed people. He held closely onto his pillow. He knew they were his worst nightmare. He did some more research and learned that they usually ask to come into your home or car. For now on he keeps all blinds shut, and all doors locked.

Username;; Canada
Name;; hartigan
Gender;; male
Mythological creature;; hartigan's favorite mythical creature is a valkyrie. ever since he was but a young plume, hartigan was full blown obsessed with mythology. the second he heard the word mythology, he was listening attentively. he has finally settled on a valkyrie, though, for his favorite creature. he has no reason why, other than their terrifyingly stunning beautify. he was engrossed with the way they looked, but also by the way they acted. they showed no mercy in battle, and chose who lived, yet who died. hartigan absolutely loved how they looked; their wings, the helmets they wore, what clothing they wore. he was full-blown obsessed. but another thing that intrigued him was how they were some sort of, princess per say. they took their chosen ones to the afterlife hall of the slain, which was ruled by oden. the deceased warriors then became "single fighters," to fight yet again. they were sometimes accompanied with ravens, swans, and/or horses. hartigan would always be reading about them. when he didn't have his face shoved into a book, he was daydreaming about their silky, feathery wings that swayed slowly in the wind as they stood above the battle that raged from below. he has always wanted to meet one, which, i know, is very silly, but he is definitely in love with these creatures. he also loves the way they choose. they choose their "chosen ones" very swiftly and carefully, as the battle wages on below. hartigan even has stuffed animals of them, which he keeps by his side almost constantly. yes, he gets teased, but honestly this little plume doesn't give a care in the world. his whole room is decorated with plushies, bedspreads, posters, art, everything. his friends don't mind, but it can get kind of annoying with all the constant babbling about his "beloved valkyries."

Name;;
Mome

Gender;;
Agender | They/Them pronouns

Mythological creature;;
The Mothman, a cryptid originating from West Virginia, is Mome's favorite mythical creature. However, to Mome, the Mothman is not a myth. They had first heard about the Mothman from an article in a magazine when they were young, that initally sparked their love for all things strange. They are not afraid to admit the fact that they've gone looking for bigfoot before or dreamed of living in Ancient Greece to see the creatures from then. However, while the claim to love all the mythical creatures, they won't deny that the mothman holds a special place in their heart.

The article Mome read explained how the Mothman was supposedly first spotted by five men who were digging a grave and they claimed that a man like figure flew from the trees above their heads. Shortly after two couples saw a big white flying figure from their car that had glowing red eyes and followed their car as they drove away from it. They immediately went to the towns courthouse, in which a search for the Mothman began. After that, sightings of Mothman became more common until an accident causing a bridge collapse which created theories that the bridge and Mothman where connected. Mome was also intrigued by the fact that the Mothman sightings seemed to peek up before bad events or natural disasters. The Mothman was described as a large bipedal animal, ranging 7 to 10 feet tall, with two red eyes that shine brightly when light is shined on them and a wingspan of 10 feet.

Once Mome was old enough to go out on their own, they decided to try to find out more about the Mothman, which led to them to travel to West Virginia and actively search for the Mothman, however on their journey they have had little to no success. They've tried almost everything to try to make the Mothman appear, including going to the spots where it was originally spotted, as well as trying to lure it out with food.
