Username: Pety
L.O.C. Name: Tukan (Nicknames: Khan, Coal)
Gender: Female
Element: Earth
Rank: Scout
Personality:
Adventurous
Tukan will take on any challenge presented, even thought it might not end well. Really, it’s not so much about proving her worth. But more of a way to seek out adventures, you see, Tukan doesn’t handle boredom very well. And she dreams of the day she’ll be allowed to fly away, scouting and exploring all worlds too see. (Fun fact: Tukan’s fur may appear more ruffled then the other lionesses, because when you’re spending so much time flying you don’t really take your time to clean your fur properly, or, at least Tukan doesn’t.)

Cunning
This lioness isn’t fooled easily, she loves learning new things, and knows that the world is more than what meets the eye. She happens to be an expert at figuring out a situation, making her a perfect scout. Just remember that a bunch of practice lies behind her set of skills. Now, if you’ve ever seen Tukan in a fight, you’ll notice that she’s rather strong and that she’ll be able to plant some good hits on her opponent and you’ll also see that she’s actually better at taking hits than most, because most of all she relies on her wits and stamina to carry her through a fight. (Being able to create a shield out of stones and vines surely helps.)

History:
Sound a Lullaby
When Tukan arrived in this world, she was merely a tiny bewinged ball of fur at first glance. But once the days had passed and she could see the world with open eyes. A bright smile stretched across her face. Seeing the faces of her family’s and no longer just feeling their warm fur, the golden specs of dust surrounding them. It filled her with joy. Most of all, she remembers the day they brought her outside of their den for the first time, the gentle breeze, the starry night sky above, it was the most wonderful feeling to be felt.

Practice in Elements
She always had the power of earth, it was there in the back of her mind, when she flexed her wings and stretched her body. It took time for it to surface however and once it did, she felt final, complete, as if everything that she was finally made sense. Being able to rustle the grass covered plains, grow a tree sky high and move rocky segments of stone and dirt. Using her element makes her feel at home in the world.

First Flight
Our trainer had talked about it for what seamed like years, preparing us for it. And when it was finally time, I was ecstatic. Feeling the wind lift me up and slip past my feathers, every breath colder the higher I rose from the ground. The world I knew, almost fading below, all of the details blurring together. Our whole world before my eyes, all at the same time. My friends disappearing into specs of colour. I've been told that in time my eyes will adjust to the height, allowing me to see it all so much clearer. That my wings, with training, will be stronger then I can imagine. I’ll be able to soar faster, steer clearer and breathe easier. But then it all went wrong. Perhaps I wasn’t ready, not ready to take on such heights. What have I done. Falling didn’t feel the way I’d imagine, I guess I had always compared it to soaring (with just such ease as my trainer), I can’t recall if what I felt was just pain or fear. As I crashed trough the air, feathers rippling, fur dancing like a stormy wind, my head snapping with every turn. I was spinning now, couldn’t control it, had difficulty to calm down and think properly. But once the world slowed in motion, I saw it, the lake, just below me, with all of our ancestors. I hadn’t realized how far I’d flown, but when the panic kicked in, my mind cleared. I moved my wings in opposite directions, maneuvering the best I could until I found balance, I flew across the surface for a bit before heading up, my legs moving as if I was running, although the lac of necessity. I didn’t just want to fly away from a certain death, I wanted to run away from it, (making sure my time wasn’t counted just yet). I hit the ground hard (needing to feel the reality of it), paws first, shoulder next, the world spinning as a rolled across the field. I have no actual memory of what happened afterwards. But I’ve been told my group of fellow trainees saw some of it, a nearby lion coming to see what had occurred found me on the ground, my nose in the dirt. They also told me I didn’t interrupt any ceremony, but of that I am doubtful. There was no real damage and I was up in the air again in no time, practicing the art of flying.

Days of Scouting (The beginning of a war)
It was just another ordinary day of scouting, if you can call any day ordinary in this world of ours, I was watching the same old stars glimmering in the distance. How long had they been there I wonder, I had witnessed the joy among my fellow lions when a new star was lit, far away in the night sky, and also the sadness, as another one’s light faded into nothingness. It was one of those things no one discussed with one another, the loss of a star, it was odd really. But I guess some topics are meant to be left aside. Oh well, I was on my regular scout route today, watching over the same patches of stars, both in hope and fear that something new would occur. I had most of them memorized by now, some more complex than others. There was one patch today which I kept checking over and over again, making sure I wasn’t being delusional, there was this one spec of light among the stars that was new, now I don’t know why, but it felt out of place. I didn’t feel the joy I usually felt when a new star was lit, no, this was different. I had heard talk of a darker time on the rise, but it couldn’t be, no, it wasn’t happening now, not yet, it was too soon. Too sudden. But then again, I felt it deep down, the word was there at the back of my tongue. And when I looked closer. The new spec of light shined brighter and brighter until it looked like an explosion of colour. It had happened, just as I feared, just as we all feared. One by one the stars surrounding the odd explosion disappeared into the dark blue sky. I could feel the dust flickering around me down to my bone, as if time was out of balance. I rushed through the night like a falling star to bring the terrible news, meeting up with fellow scouts on the way, apparently they'd seen the exact same explosion but on other various locations across the sky. I almost fell to ground as I landed, gravity felt more present then ever. And so, with my fellow scouts by my side, we entered the Alpha's quarters.
