Name;; Lance
Gender;; Male
Song;; There is a Light That Never Goes Out
Personality;; Lance is a rather pessimistic and blunt parra on the whole. However, this is not to say that he is emotionless. In fact, he can be too full of emotion, to the point of being annoyingly melodramatic. He also tends to exaggerate problems and flaws to ten times their original size, often in a teasing manner. He is outgoing, and loves to meet new species that he's never seen before. He often gets into trouble, because his philosophy is "the end justifies the means". However, he's usually caught before he can get to the end, leaving him with a whole lot of damage done with nothing to show for it.
Likes/Dislikes:
+ Comic books
Lance enjoys comic books in his leisure time. They're not an obsession, but a way for him to relax. Lance likes comic books because they're a pleasant contrast to traditional books. They use pictures to tell a story more than words, sort of like a play condensed into pages.
+ Theatre
Lance loves theatre and acting because it allows him to express himself to the fullest, without anyone telling him to be quiet and stop overreacting to everything. He can be quite picky with roles, tending to avoid overly cheerful characters and ones that clash with his own world-view and personality. His favorite character type is the anti-hero, because they generally fit in with his own "end justifies the means" philosophy.
+ Having Wings
Lance likes having wings. Not flying with them, just having the things attached to his back. It allows him an extra way to express himself to flap them at someone, or to flare them in displeasure. But mostly, he sees himself as above wingless parras, and will often tease his wingless friends about their lack of feathers.
- Strict Scheduling/Strict Rules
Lance hates strictness. Well, he hates it when it's applied to him. When it's him bossing someone else around then it's fine. The same thing applies to rules. He doesn't hate them in general, only when he has to follow them.
- Books
Lance despises books. He doesn't understand them at all. They're just words, words, words, no pictures, no anything. And somehow the reader is supposed to form a picture of what's going on in their head? Lance always has trouble with understanding what's going on in books. He'd much rather have a play, movie, or comic book with all the characters right there in front of him.
- Overly Positive Parras
Lance doesn't get optimistic parras. For him, pessimism is a way to be able to analyze a situation and fool-proof it. Therefore, optimistic parras appear to be bumbling idiots, never bothering to check for flaws and relying on luck. He'll often say this right to their faces, which is why a lot of his friends are also pessimists.
