What does (s)he use the items for?: She is an expert cliff climber... and air current soarer. She climbs a cliff with her extra gear a day before hand, and carefully conceals it at the top. Then the next day she climbs up, puts on the gear and jumps off the cliff when the conditions are good for a bit of flying.

How did they come by/receive the items?: Most of it she made herself, based on some of the humans' designs and of course she has a fairly nice one that helps her on some of the more intricate parts.

The spikes on the tail piece actually make sure that she doesn't go randomly swinging about the place whilst climbing, and in an emergency can add extra purchase on the rock face.

What does she use the items for?:


tora uses her items in many different ways. these include exploring, tree climbing, and keeping herself safe. goggles: her most important item. tora was born with extremely sensitive eyes, and the goggles help keep the sun and objects out of her eyes. she enjoys exploring abandoned buildings as well as venturing far away to discover new places. her goggles keep dust/debris/etc out of her eyes. her favorite places are steep cliffs, tree tops, hills, and tops of buildings, where the wind is very harsh, these help her see. tora also explores abandoned stores and houses, which are all basically falling apart, these will definitely keep her eyes safe. her bandana's use, similar to the goggles, is designed to prevent her from breathing in debris, as well as keeping her identity hidden by covering most of her face. tora's gloves are excellent for gripping onto slippery surfaces while exploring. when she found the gloves, they lacked the metal claws, which she added later on. they protect her feet from sharp rocks and metals, and allow her to easily climb hard-to-reach surfaces. if she ever were to need them, her gloves would easily act as a self defense weapon. as for her socks; where tora lives, it definitely gets cold. although her fur keeps her warm, her pads easily get chilled, that's what her socks are for as well as covering some marks and scars on her legs from brambles and branches. she had to cut out the toes of the socks so that she could still grip surfaces and get traction with her claws. lastly, her tail armor, well it's basically for the looks, but it does have a small use. often, she will put a small handful of seeds in the gap between her tail and the armor. as she walks to her destination, seeds slowly fall from the gap, planting small flowers and plants as she walks. the white markings on her body also stand out while she tries to blend in, so she tries to cover most of the white areas, such as her tail tip. tora also often meets others in the forest. her tail armor and claws look intimidating and keep others away from her. another use for all of these items is one of tora's main hobbies: tree-climbing. she has always loved being up high and as a child, she would always try to climb the tree in her home's yard. aside from the fun of tree climbing, this also allows for tora to easily spot locations. her goggles are excellent for keeping wind and tree bark out of her eyes, and her bandana covers her mouth to keep other tree debris from her mouth. as for the gloves and socks, she uses the gloves to obtain a good grip on the branches, and the claws stop herself from slipping. the socks allow her claws to grip to the wood, but keep her legs from getting cut and scuffed.

How did she come by/receive the items?:
ever since she was a child, tora explored everything around her. she began to explore everywhere around her home. a few miles away, there were many abandon shops and other buildings. she first found an old steam-punk themed store. after looking through, she found some simple brown gloves and goggles. at the time tora found no use for them, but later she realized how important these items were to her. the socks and bandana were found in an old dusty clothing store, and she thought they matched her fur pretty well. as for the tail piece, she actually made this herself. while searching through an abandoned scrapyard, she found a bucket of large, polished metal pieces. after seeing that some pieces fit perfectly together, she used her past knowledge to bond the metal together and create her own tail piece. at the same time, she got another idea. tora glanced down at her gloves, and looked over at the small pile of metal fragments. after slightly altering the shape of the pieces, she attached them to her gloves. she liked the look of the large metal "claws" as well as their use. these claws overlapped her natural claws, and gave her great traction and self-defense.

tora has quiet a strange personality. to other people, she seems obviously aggressive and harsh, but to close friends, she acts very different. in her normal "on the move/defensive" personality, tora is loud, obnoxious, and tough. why? well this is mainly for staying out of trouble. she tries to avoid others, to keep herself safe from dangerous people, and to do this she must act very aggressive and rude. now on the other hand, if you get to know tora, and are close to her, she acts very different. when speaking to tora from a friend's point of view, she is very quiet and wise. she always thinks about her word choices before speaking, and often tries to avoid conflicts. so in the end, tora's personality depends on her surroundings.

Reason For Adventure:
tora is someone who "lives off the land". her main interests are exploring abandoned houses, buildings, and even caves. of course, like any other creature, she has to work to survive. tora commonly loots old stores and markets, and sometimes abandoned houses. but sometimes supplies run too low, that she has to resort to stealing. she is quick on her feet and is basically invisible. aside from this, the true reason tora loves exploring is for the feeling, she loves the feeling of cool wind through her fur, and she enjoys watching birds and other animals venture throughout the forest. while growing up, tora always felt trapped, and had never felt the feeling of being free. as soon as she was able to, she left her old home, and began her new adventurous lifestyle.
Hobbies:
tora's main hobbies include rock collecting, tree climbing, exploring, listening to music, creating art out of scrap metal, writing, and abstract painting. she also enjoys collecting flowers, leaves, and old antiques. because of here love for nature, specifically trees, she plants multiple trees every year as well as flowers and other plants.

Short Story:
tora shivered slightly as the cold frost stuck to her paw pads. she looked around her, every tree already lost their leaves, and the grass began to shrivel. only the small ever-green trees remained with color through the winter season. tora glanced above her, the sky was covered with light grey clouds, snow would arrive soon. it was cold, but her thick coat kept her warm while she walked against the frigid wind. she squinted as the cold breeze caused her eyes to water. tora shook her head and nudged her goggles down onto her eyes. she continued walking on her dirt trail, which zigzagged around multiple bare trees. the terrain was difficult to navigate, hidden holes were covered by leaves, and small cliffs were always a danger. tora smiled as she saw her destination in front of her. a small open patch of dirt would soon be the home of a brand new sapling.
--twenty years later--
tora slowly walked her small path as birds flew overhead. she glanced up, and the sun was shining brighter than most days and there were no clouds in sight. tora removed her goggles, it was beginning to become warmer, and she began to sweat. she smiled and glanced down at her paws. the claws attached to her gloves were dull, and would need repairing again. after a few more minutes of hiking she arrived at the area. tora smiled widely at the sight of the large oak tree, planted twenty years ago. branches flowed in every direction, and large green leaves provided shade on the warm summer day. she smiled again. tora firmly grabbed a small low branch, and pulled herself up. she closed her eyes and listened to the birds chirp around her.

What does (s)he use the items for?: Faren loves to go rock climbing, anywhere, anytime. The goggles are for proctection from debri from the rocks, and the long claws from grasping the rocks and any plants. They are also useful when she has to hunt for something when she reaches the top. Her tail is badly scared from a bad fall and she is a little self-concious about showing them so she covers it up and she thinks it looks cool. And because of the high altidue she reaches the scarf helps keep her warm and serves as a blanket when on climbs of multiple days. Finally the gloves on her back paws are for extra protection

Gloves/Socks: Lauka was diagnosed with a weird
mutation at birth allowing anything she touched to
turn into a plant. Her gloves are a sort of barrier
between her and reality.

Goggles: Lauka has very poor eyesight and uses
her goggles to improve her vision and work.

Scarf: It symbolizes something very dear to her
and she is never seen without it.

Tail Spike: After an incident with a bear, a chunk
of her tail was missing. The tail spike covers the
nasty wounds and connects her tail with the tip.

What does (s)he use the items for?:
Croga believes greatly in a leader, one leading the rest. She always has been the one to lead the others and nip them as punishment, like the Alpha in a pack. The tail spike is just to threaten and the bandana is for show, but her goggles are for her weakening eyesight and the paw cuffs to help her walk, as hers front legs are slightly damaged.

Bandana:
Croga strolled through the abandoned streets of the town, the only residents being some skinny rats and foaming-mouthed racoons. She entered a tall building, the large window smashed to where the glass littered inside, directing the impact was from the outside. She walked in, careful not to step on any of the broken glass. Cro glanced around for anything to scavenge, any items or anything edible. Something like a cloth was hidden under a pile of smashed ceiling and she grinned, thinking it was a soft blanket. She grabbed a piece of the cloth with her mouth, tugging and using her hands to tug also. The small amount of cloth was unexpected, so when it was let go, Croga fell onto her back with a yelp. Regaining her posture, she inspected the object, to figure out it was a bandana, all dusty from the chunks of roof.

Tail spike:
Croga was in a new location now. A large pine forest with snow littering the ground and sprinkling onto the trees. She left footprints in the snow as she traveled on her two back feet. As she strolled, her head held high, she squinted at the ground to see something glimmering, buried in the blinding snow. She reached down and grabbed it, to figure out it was a piece of metal, shaped like a tube, two bits of metal jutting out. She pricked her finger on one of the spikes, yelping as she realised that it actually hurt. She smirked, trying to slide it on her paws, but that didn't work. Croga tried to wear it everywhere, to no avail, before she tried her tail. The Viscet grinned when she realised it fit perfectly, even with a bit of growing room. She swung her tail dangerously, trying it out. She strolled away, chest puffed and showing off her new prize.

Goggles:
It was a few months after she found her tail spike and she was at yet another new location, a small town in Colorado. Snow was on the ground, but surprisingly not a lot. Croga was in an alley, searching through the dumpsters and being the scavenger she was. Her small hands brushed against something round and cool and she immediately snatched it, making sure no one was around before pulling it out. Croga barely knew what it was for at first, running her hand over the cool, round pieces of what looked like glass and then the leather bounding the two pieces of glass. Croga then realised that this was one of those things that pilots wore! Gasping at her find, she gaped at the goggles. After about two minutes of admiring it, she shoved it on, gasping yet again when realising that it improved her failing eyesight. Her heart soared. This was her object, always.

What does (s)he use the items for?:
Bell is what is refered to as a Umbra-racer. Umbra-racing is a competitive and dangerous sport in which racers compete to finish a predetermined course first. It takes place on various terrain, and all at night. Umbra-racers are famous for using underhanded techniques to gain the upper hand, therefore certain protection is necessary to prevent injury.

How did they come by/receive the items?:
The items were given to her by an older, more experienced racer who took a liking to the ambitious young pup. He knew there was no way to dissuade her from competing, so he gave her what protection he could offer. the items were big and awkward at first, but eventually she grew into them.

Personality:
Bellatrix is true to her name, ever since she was little she has been dealing with a medical condition that made her muscles weak, but her energetic and some may say careless nature never let her down. She began fighting the disease by strict exercise regiments and eating what was best for her. And she still continues to fight, being the youngest Umbra-racer in the unit, and one of the few females, she was not always given the faith she deserved. But as is her nature, she continues to prove the doubters wrong. However, underneath her bold and brash exterior lies a lot of sensitivity. She tends to let her emotions get the best of her, especially in times of distress, which can sometimes get her in trouble if that emotion is anger. Despite all this, the fiery passion that she puts into whatever she does does not go unnoticed, which makes her a very respectable person(err.. viscet.)
