What creature is he based off of?;; A Faun, not to be confused with it's more human counterpart the Satyr. Most likely to be the god Faunus (AKA Pan) or his sister/wife Fauna

What historical era is said creature from?;; The creature spanned a surprising amount of mythological history, believed to have first appeared in Mediterranean Europe pre-Greek civilization. However, it's myths lasted and came to be associated with the Greek and Roman eras in particular, being a wild and unruly god of forests, fertility, etc. After the Roman Empire fell and as Christianity began to take hold in the region, the creature continued to make appearances in illustration and religion, and eventually became associated with evil images, such as the Devil Lucifer and demons. It truly is one of the few more timeless figures in the span of human religion and mythology.

Now that you've answered the questions above--what statue do you think he represents?;; There are many famous and beautiful depictions of this god(ess) in particular, and even more that depict the creature itself without being associated to higher religious order. However, I believe that this particular parrapup was inspired by the statue to the left. In it we see Pan teaching Daphnis how to play his flute. The hair texture and horn shape seem to be reflected in the parra, as does the marble's coloration.

    Username;; broken*
    Name;; "I am Paneides"
why this name?; paneides was the name used to describe the twelve sons of the faun god pan. it was later shortened to "panes", who were considered the first followers of pan, when the twelve sons were given their extremely long and difficult names; kelaineus, argennon, aigikoros, eugeneios, omester, daphoineus, phobos, philamnos, xanthos, glaukos, argos, and phorbas.
    Gender;; Male
Song;; playing god - paramore Image

Likes;; a challenge. helping another. exploring. being first to do something.
Dislikes;; rudeness. having a "boss"/leader. waiting for anything. being ignored.
    Personality;; independent.quick-temper.impulsive.daredevil.enthusiastic.
Zodiac;; aries - the sign of the ram. aries are the first of the zodiac signs and are known as being energetic creatures with a very straight-forwards nature. they don't plan ahead, and they are not known for being very/overly emotional. their main traits are independent and determined, but they do not do things in a sneaky or underhanded way.

    BONUS SECTION
What creature is he based off of?;; a faun. I wasn't sure, at first, if he was based on a faun or a satyr, since I always thought that the two were the same. so I decided to google them to see if there was really a difference, and what I found surprised me. originally, satyr's were more horse-like than goat or sheep like, whereas fauns have always been goat-like. as I began to research, I saw that satyr's were followers of Dionysus, the god of wine and pleasure, whereas fauns were followers of pan(or faunus), who were known as the god of nature, the wilderness, and shepherds flocks.
What historical era is said creature from?;; ancient greece and rome (depending on whether you prefer to think of fauns as the followers of the greek god pan or the roman god faunus)
Now that you've answered the questions above--what statue do you think he represents?;; I think he represents a statue I saw of pan found here. when I was looking up statues of fauns, none of the ones that were created about faunus seemed like the basis for this beautiful creature, so I decided to look under pan. the second that my eyes laid upon this statue in that google bar, I had a feeling it had to be the one he was based off of. hopefully my gut instinct was right. ^-^
I'm adding a fun fact;; pan is considered older than even the gods of Olympus. it is said that he was the one who gave Artemis her hunting dogs. he is the one who taught Apollo his gift of prophecy. he is the one who located Demeter when she abandoned her crops to mourn for her daughter Persephone who had been kidnapped by hades. he is the one who aided zeus in the victory over the titans in their war.
