Username; Calix
Name; Kalypso, nicknamed Kal. Kalypso or Calypso is from καλύπτω (kalyptō), meaning "to cover", "to conceal", "to hide", or "to deceive".
Gender; Female
Personality;
Kalypso would rather entangle herself in a thick web of lies, choking and drowning in them, than tell the simple truth. She finds herself spilling lie after lie in a normal conversation without even meaning to and about matters she has no business lying about. Despite this, she sticks stubbornly to her chorus of lies and falsehoods, indignantly defending herself and insisting that she's spoken the truth. Only when her lies begin to hurt others will she let the truth finally spill from her lips, usually accompanied by tears and terrified pacing, mixed with a slew of stammered apologies. Despite lying so often, she has extremely obvious tells when telling a lie, and is generally an awful liar and terrible at sounding genuine. Her ears often press back against her skull, eyes darting wildly, voice adopting a mad stutter when she begins lying. Often her lies become so intertwined into her life that she half-forgets the actual truth.
Despite these setbacks, Kalypso is a generally friendly Cleud who absolutely loves socializing and telling stories. She most often lies in an attempt to benefit others, whether it be by entertaining friends with a tall tale or telling a white lie to spare another Cleud's feelings. She absolutely hates the idea of hurting anyone or anything, and is a vehement pacifist. She will go to extreme measures to spare anothers' feelings, often at the cost of her own.

1 writing extra;
"And that's when I jumped- wind tearing through my mane! Eyes stinging in the salty breeze, sharks leaping out of the water far beneath my paws! And then-" She paused, eyes darting around to each Cleud's face, taking in their looks of awe and anticipation. "I fell!" Gasps chorused around her, eyes wide and staring, silently begging her to continue the story. Kal relished in their bated breath before continuing.
"I'd totally misjudged the jump from the cliff- instead of landing safely on the other side, I fell and fell and fell- a hundred feet, I think! The sharks were thrashing under me as I fell, ready to strike the second I came within their grasp!"
One Cleud let out a terrified squeak, dropping to her stomach and covering her snout with her paws in pure fright.
It felt like Kalypso's stomach dropped out, her heartbeat pounding in her ears. She hadn't meant to frighten this poor Cleud so badly- it was her fault, she had to fix this. She rapidly changed the course of her tall tale.
"Er- but, the sharks turned out to just be nurse sharks- harmless, y'know? I-er-landed in the water safely and the sharks helped carry me to shore safely."
The terrified Cleud seemed to have calmed down at these words, sitting back up and looking sheepish. The other Cleuds had looks of disappointment and boredom.
"That's it?" One asked incredulously, beginning to stride away.
"All that buildup for nothing," another snorted, following the first.
Soon, the small crowd that had gathered around Kalypso dispersed and strode away, leaving her alone. It felt like a heavy stone had settled in the pit of her stomach, and she was alone.
