"leaving this world and going into your own," as dreaming." she giggled, tilting her head while looking down at her paws. cias eyes were puffy and red from crying all night. she was tired of this, tired of running away. "dreaming is natural, no? add that to the list of reasons im different from others," snorting, deep heavyset emerald eyes flickered up. "i mean, wow, i am terrified of dreaming. of going there, its not safe. you could seriously jack yourself up, pardon my language, in there! all your deepest desires coming to life in your own mind." she sighed, turning away and looking longingly over her sagging shoulder.

wisps of her white, peach, and lavender fur blew around her face with the crisp dawn air. the sun poured over her small frame, basking her in warmth and comfort. "its the only thing ive, uh, only really known! the sun, yknow, since i um never really look at the moon or the night sky. i find it not very pleasant." the pups listened quietly, ears perked as some drifted off to sleep. "but im scared of dreaming, i never found it delightful." cia laughed, confusing some of the others. she closed her eyes, aware of the pups looking at her. she just wanted to sleep, to rest somehow but those nights she could never forget haunted her, waiting in the deepest part of her mind.

There isn't just one reason, there is a couple like, what's gonna happen when I awake? She fears the thought of someone getting hurt, Introuble or even dying all because she wasn't there to help out. She also fears at times that her dream may come a reality, and some of her dreams aren't very 'dreamy' sometimes they end up in a blood bath or someone gets sick and spreads it, she has a very, very large imagination, she always over thinks stuff but somehow she doesn't talk much ethier you may hear a word or two out of her at the most. Tho, some say when she does speak she is very noble, generous and kind she has a bit of A.D.D never being able to focus on one thing, at one time.

Paradise, is noble, kind and generous but she has a few flaws that mainly consist of her over active imagination it always seems to be running, and the fact that she almost never speaks to any other Xholi and mainly says to herself. some may say this is a good thing but she is often lonely and sometimes even mildly depressed but she sticks up for whats right when the time comes, she does what she needs to do.

Name Meaning: This kia is named after a Paleo-Indian culture of Central and North America, known as Clovis. This culture is known for their large, leaf-shaped stone arrow/spearheads.These are some of the hardest spearheads to find, and are valued very highly.
What Keeps Them Up At Night: Simple the idea of sleep itself; Clovis does not like that sleep includes closing your eyes, disapearings for a few hours and waking up with no memory of the time that has past. He feels as if sleep is useless, he could spend the time completing his pack duties.

Arid being her name is ironic; she harnesses the power of water, opposite of what her name might suggest, and she isn't one to be very bland. Named primarily for the colors of her pelt reminding her parents of a dry, desert sunrise.

Arid can't help but think too much during the hours of the night. She's fascinated by the vastness of the sky and all the possibilities of what's out there. She often has these so called "existential thoughts," wondering about why they're here, and what else is out there in the world. And, if there're others out there, do they look like xholis? Do they speak the same language? Do they harness powers? The possibilities are endless, and that's daunting.



Arid can't help her wild imagination, which seems to be strongest in the evening. Her mind is filled with what-if questions and churning thoughts about the future; Will the pups know what else is out there? What-if it's a danger to their lives? Why are we here? What is the significance of our existence?



It isn't always just existential though; Arid is easily nervous too. She thinks about how things might be different if she reacted some other way to a situation, and she gets anxious about things that might happen the next day. She recalls choices she made as a pup that maybe weren't so good, and she doesn't want the same things to happen to the pups she cares for. She worries the dens will be under attack from predators, and she can't help feeling slightly overwhelmed at it all.

Her imagination is avid, but it's not always terrifying, although it may sound so. Most of the time, they're just thoughts that keep her up because she's thinking, not because she's afraid. She's highly intelligent and curious, so it's only natural to have a wandering mind when she's able to be alone with her thoughts.
It's usually pretty manageable and it's done within 30 minutes to an hour, but on those nights where she just can't sleep, she'll recap her day until she's worn out. If that doesn't help, she'll count the stars and try to find shapes out of them. Sometimes she imagines each one has its own life-forms on it, and she tries to think of what they'd be like. Going on a quiet night walk just outside of camp is especially calming too, for those nights her mind and body are restless. She can handle herself, but some nights it requires more effort.
