１ Ｅｘｔｒａ
The wind was piercing as Lacuna made her way across yet another stretch of plainland. She had seen nothing but plainland lately and was beginning to doubt herself. What if I’m lost now? Bracing herself against another gust of wind, Lacuna continued onward, shouldering the wind aside as if it were a pesky flea. Her tail whipped around wildly, tangled with her hind legs, and caused her to flop ungracefully into the long tendrils of barren grass. And still, the wind sliced into her fur and plastered it onto her frame, like it were water instead of wind. Gasping, and instantly regretting it when she gulped a mouthful of coursing air, Lacuna stood once again, trying to erect her tail. The two gleaming crystals on her tail were burning frigidly. The intense coldness, rushed towards her skull from her tail and Lacuna almost fell again from the sensation. The tinglings from her tail crystals always meant something. She hesitated to move any farther and slunk almost completely flattened to the ground, her belly barely brushing the grass. There was a patch of grass not too far that was aquiver, too unnatural. It wasn’t from the wind, most definitely, and Lacuna was sure of it. A rose tumbled with the wind past her nose and into the peculiar patch of grass. Cautiously, Lacuna followed as the wind was dying down gradually ...
She had almost stepped on it. It was oh so tiny and Lacuna had nearly crushed its frail wings. It was a butterfly. Just hanging onto its last thread of life. Lacuna saw it climb steadily into the crumbling rose petals and watched as the thorns formed a barrier where it lay. The tinglings from her tail crystals ceased and she knew the butterfly had died. Another one lost ...

Story:

"The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes..." The mouse-pelted Xholi looked into the water, her bloodied reflection upon the glinting surface wavering as something scaly and silver went past. The Xholi closed her eyelids of red, the origin of her simple name which she had bore throughout her life until now - the present.
Although such a birth-mark should be cherished, this Xholi did not have such feelings for her own face of red. No, she wished for the water she was currently "looking" at to wash away her face to the brown and cream which fashioned the rest of her beautiful short pelt.
Red, turned her crimson covered face away from the warm waters which showed back to her damned reflection. Opening her shiny blue eyes to the grass surrounding her
"I know how that feels," she finally murmured after her first sentence that she spoke alone, turning away from the familiar place that were always there to greet her heavy heart.
But every time she left that river, the same prodding questions demanded the same answers that she had to repeat.
Do you really need the clan's approval?
Red followed up with the recited answer,
Yes, I do - If I don't have acceptance, then why should I still be in the clan? Approval is important, even if I have to work hard to earn it!
Why? Your "scar" is a gift from The Dawn, y'know, cherish that gift and you will be accepted
You are my Safe-Heaven, and- Red stopped and hesitated, The River (Note: The questioning voice) had never said that before - was her marking actually a gift? It left her confused for sure, how was she supposed to answer that? It was unusual.
