Why Does the Ground Crack Under Paws? Vollie inherited the power to control earth from her mother because recently her mother passed away of an accident when Vollie's powers had gone out of control and it killed her mother. She never meant to do this and it haunted her ever since. But something Vollie did not know was that her powers were beyond even of her ancestors' powers and it is why the ground cracks under her paws, her power is beyond her control and is too strong that it can't be controlled.
