Name: Pyralis
Meaning: Greek name meaning "of fire".
Gender: Female
Clan Position and reason:
Pyralis' discovery of what she wanted to do came from an experience she had as a pup. At that time, her parents were very kind, understanding, and gave her enough space to explore and do what she wanted to do. When it was near her age of choosing, however, a hunting accident occurred, leaving her an orphan. Even though her parents did all they could without being too restricting, Pyralis didn't feel the strongest of bonds with them, but they were all she had. Sure, she was sad, upset maybe, but she didn't let that affect her much. From that point on, she had the tendency to hide her emotions from others, as she didn't have any other friends that were close. Those that were friends with her, found it a bit strange how little she appeared to care about her parents, and strayed away. Pyralis cried internally from this, but maintained her outer image for the longest time. Others viewed her as a cold Xholis, but in reality, Pyralis is very soft-hearted, timid, and kind. She cared a lot about others, including her parents, so when others began to view her as such, it tore her apart. Still, though, she refused to show her pain to any others.
When it came time to decide on what she was going to do, everyone was surprised, and shocked, when she expressed her desire to become a Savant. Rumors started that her intentions were bad, but after a few months of working, they began to notice how hard she worked with the other Xholis, and eventually, they began to warm up to her. She later expressed that her desire to become a Savant was to ensure that no one felt that isolation that ate at her internally. Even though she didn't admit it, Pyralis secretly wanted to train others better, to help prevent another hunting accident from happening.
Now, Pyralis tries her best to be the greatest Savant and Xholi she can be, but internally, she still struggles with her issues internally, and rarely expresses them to those around her. Who knows, maybe one day she'll open up.
