Your story had a beautiful progression and kept me on my toes. I was reading as you were writing and I couldn't wait for you to finish! I like the addition of shadow, as well.

I feel really bad having to choose a winner on such a short amount of entries. It was hard, I have a fondness for poems and FallenPegasus wrote a story through a poem and I liked the rythm.
