Petrichor is the name given to this Parrapup by those who watch him
sitting alone in the rain. No one speaks to him. No one approaches
him. Not in fear of his dark appearance, but to avoid disturbing the
beautiful calm in the storm. They tell stories of him to their children.
And these children do not fear the crash of thunder or the blinding
slash of lightning. When the black clouds roll in, and the air hangs
heavy around them, they press their faces against the cold glass of
their windows to catch the faintest scent of the storm's Petrichor.

"Such a rare sight he is.." He hears them say.
He knows this very well and he doesn't like to hang around in the public.
If you ever did see him, he is gone in a split second like he was never there.
Often he finds himself inside his home, watching a storm.
He has been doing this ever since he saw his first lightning strike
as a parrapup. Much like his marking and some believed he would have
that 'striking' personality or a dark one due to his looks but it's not the case.
He is a mysterious one who hides away but never hides from a true storm.

In fact, he believes he can do the impossible so he decided to take on
photography. When he told everyone what he planned to do, they dismissed it.
Saying such things like "That's impossible." and "You could never do that.
Try something else." He then earned his title; Storm Chaser
Common title yes, however earning it is a challenge in itself.
To this day, he goes out in every storm with determination
to prove to those who doubt him that he can and he will.

Vikani’s was a name feared by every being living in her kingdom, and even many who lived around it. She was a harsh queen, even if she didn’t mean to be. She loved stories about royalty and how they always met happy endings, and Vikani wanted to be just like that. But since she was so young when she inherited her kingdom, she was rarely taken seriously. She tried being nice, but when that didn’t work out, she felt that she needed to resort to less kind methods, methods involving force and fear. Maybe then they’d listen.

Vikani had a younger sister, Akiva, and she was the only thing in the world that Vikani loved. She worked at Vikani’s side as a servant and advisor. They were both slightly similar in appearance, though the biggest different was the fact that Vikani had wings, and her sister did not. Akiva often tried to nudge Vikani in the right direction, but she also learned not to question her authority. Often, Akiva wound up acting as an ambassador, too, trying to make right amongst the civilians what the queen had done wrong. However, it didn’t always work, and one day, Vikani’s kingdom revolted against her. A full on war resulted, and many lives were lost. However, Vikani was confident that she would be the victor, that things would eventually return to the way they once were, where the villagers knew to fear her and dared not question her. However, the war didn’t even in Vikani’s favour, and too late did Vikani realise this. Her sister, however, had a plan. Very shortly before the rebellion army broke into the castle, Akiva told Vikani that she would meet the invaders. She would be wearing a cloak, and Vikani was to do the same. This cloak would hide Vikani’s wings, and hide the fact that Akiva lacked them. Hopefully, anyway.

“When they find out that I don’t have wings, they will kill me. And even if they don’t find out, they will kill me. They want their queen dead. And as far as they know, that is what they will get. You must run, Vikani. Run as far away as possible. Run where no one will ever find you. And stay there. Start a new life. But… try not to forget me, okay?”

Akiva’s last words still ring clearly in Vikani’s head, and to this day, she can still picture the smile that her sister wore right before she ran off the meet the angry mob. Vikani headed in the other direction and escaped the castle, taking to the skies and flying off into the night. She didn’t know where she was going, but her journey lasted days. Finally, she came to a vast, secluded mountain range, devoid of signs of threats to her. She decided to stay there, far away from civilization There was no threat of being chased down if the villagers found out that she was still alive, and it also prevented anyone from finding her, and getting close to her, because she feared that if that happened, they, too, would meet a terrible fate, just as Akiva had.

Far more often than not, the mountains suffer from monstrous thunderstorms, but she learned to adapt to them, and thinks it fitting. She feels like she belongs there, like the storms in the world around her reflect the storm forever brewing deep inside her.

Brief Characterization:
Who's that? That ghostly shadow flying in the sky? That strange lurking guest that has been there for some time but has yet to move? The quiet stranger with the ghostly eyes? If you've had to ask yourself these questions and many more while gazing at this dappled grey stranger the answer I will tell you is always the same. Volken Elektra. That name has been known to send a few shudders down the backs of the mouse-hearted alone. This melancholy figure, who seems quite intimidating to even the most amiable characters, is actually quite pleasant upon introduction, but the air of sadness is often felt around her. She holds what elders call a 'Lost Hope' meaning she's searching for something she will never find as it is lost to this world.

11:05 pm-0 Note: Volken is an awesome name, I'm so tired but it is a great name. Elektra is also a good name, I'm so tired

12:44 am-Note 1: Volken has two sides to them. One is the dominant melancholy they hold around them and another is bitterness, or better described as a closeted anger. It was very difficult to choose the best song for them due to how many of Stromae's music could have fit the characterization I had in store for this Parrapup. The reason I write this is because Formidable and Papoutai were both quite difficult to decide on but Bâtard is about Stromae being indecisive and well I'd thought it fit with the theme I'm attempting to create here with Volken.

1:35 am -Note 2: It is currently 1:35 am and I am wondering if Volken would even be interested in a relationship period. She doesn't seem ready for one in my form. Not yet or maybe not at all and as for the concept of the Lost Hope I feel that it's not a physical thing, not tangible. I think the Lost Hope is just an intangible feeling of uncertainty and not knowing who you are and trying to find yourself. Ha elders don't know what they're talking about, you can't lose something you've never had. //shot

Where as Miami means downstream people, which can be interpreted as
a category of people who ' go with the flow of things ' or as people that
over-think things and are down all or most of the time, Vice simply
means ' change ' .

Both of those, combined, may mean that its time to change the sad
outlook on life and try to look at it from a different angle. It might also
mean, however, to step out of the ' flow of things ' and do something
that makes you stand out of the crowd.

xxxwhile young was all given off whilst flying - that's why he is so good at it now.
xxxOne of the best and fastest around, as some have stated. But that's all that
xxxothers see Miami Vice as - another outcast who's song is never heard, that likes
xxxto fly alone. A few have even came to make up stories about him - some
xxxthat portray him as a hero that is searching for the most loud thunder
xxxstorm with the most beautiful of lightning bolts that would call his mate to earth,
xxxothers portray him as a villian that lost an eye due to being reckless and

xxxIs usually only told by parents wishing for their children to go to sleep. But,
